  1. I take about 25 to 30 seconds or so. If I am on a course I don't know real well I might take a little longer.
  2. I have never been able to hit a consistent fade. A draw no problem. I can control the draw pretty much, but lee ia right they are not good listeners.
  3. I voted trees. I grew up playing on a course that was built among the giant redwood trees in northern California. I don't much care for water my balls however don;t seen to mind all that much, the same for sand. .
  4. I know what you mean, I like my long irons, I can hit about 180 to 200 yards with my 3 iron. They are also very handy for hitting the ball from under trees and other shots you need to keep low. I have never used a hybrid before so I have no knowledge to share. I realize that a.,lot of golfers swear by them. Whatever flots your boat I guess.
  5. I have done this a few times in my life. I chipped the ball and I thought I hit it short, but it landed on the green and went in the hole for a birdie.I told a buddy one time that I planned it that way, the truth is it was one hell of a great miss.
  6. 700 yard par five as mach as you want to say "oh my god!" you almost have to tee it up from the3 black tees. Nice job scoring a bogey.
  7. I learned on a par 3 course. It's not as easy to shoot par as you think. This course has two par 4's on it. but they are short. You could almost drive the green. The second hole has a big two tier green so it plays a little bit longer than the distance on the score card because the hole is almost always on the top tier. I persona;y like the short par three courses, I can play nine in a couple of hours and get on with my day.
  8. I can't say as I have ever done that. I had a friend hit a ball off a tree and it zipped thru the golf cart I was sitting in and I remember diving for cover. My other friend was across the fairway on the ground he was laughing so hard. I cam honestly say never hit myself with my own golf ball.
  9. If it is not a sport why does ESPN cover it? Why does CBS sports cover it?. Why does NBC sports cover it? Why does FOX sports cover it? Why are the majors such a bib deal? We are talking about Max Kellerman aren't we that says it all!
  10. This is part of golf, What I like to do is go to the driving range and work the bugs out hopefully. It's to darn frustrating to try and do it on the course. I do feel your pain, and good luck I hope you work things out.
  11. I think anyone who yells anything form the gallery should be removed, it's not cool.
  12. I know what you mean some days I am just happy to find my ball. It just proves the point don't over think your shot to mush, leave your brain out of it. I have better rounds that way.
  13. Good plan I wish you all the best,
  14. I know how to read greens, and I can pretty well guess the distance, but some days I couldn't tell how hard to hit the ball to save my life. Putting is very funny that way, I had someone tell me to slow down when I am lining up my putt so now I take a deep breath before I start just to rewind myself, it even helps some days.
  15. He was wrong to walk across the green while you were putting. You should not have reacted that way. You should have backed off and started over.
  16. Welcome to the club. There not to many golfers that go thru this, it's the beauty of the game or so I am told.
  17. I would user a 7 iron and pitch and run.
  18. I made one putt that was at least 30 ft. My fiend said it was one hell of a putt. In truth it was one hell of a good miss, I was trying to get it close enough to save bogie. 30 footers are in some ways easier to make than 10 footers becuse you don't have high expectations to make them, you are only trying to get close enough to 2 putt.
  19. I have never had a hole in one. I have come close a couple of times. Once was at a par 9 hole par three course in back to back to back holes no less.On the sixth I hit a wedge that stopped two inches short of the hole, on the seventh I hit another wedge that I pulled and it hit the side of a hill and went ninety degrees to the right hit the cup and did not go in and left me a left me a six inch putt for par, stupid ball. Mt friend looked at me and sail: man you don't get any respect out here do you." Stupid ball!
  20. I have never broke par. I broke eighty the first time when i was in high school. That day I found iut how good I could play when I was making putts. I shot a 74 on a par 70 golf course, I could nor make a birdie putt to save my life that day however.
  21. Golf used tp be kind of simple. You had 3 or 4 woods in your bag, 6 to eight irons, a wedge and a putter. With all these new technologies coming along to have all of these things you need a trailer hooked up to the back of youe golf cart. Teeing off with your putter, at least someone fpouynd a good use for it!
  22. Has John wasted is talent? Yes, But he does have one British open win on his resume. You can get on him all; you want ,but that's just John being John Mr grip it and rip it.
  23. I will sink putt after putt after putt on the practice green. When I get out on the course I can't make a putt to save my .life. This drives me crazy. the only time I will use the practice green is at the driving range, because I am not going out on the golf course, and I refuse to leave all those good putts on the practice green.
  24. Right now tiger is just trying to get back to what he was or at least a reasonable fact simile. I thunk that he will finish around 20th. This is a course that has been very good to him in the past.
  25. Wind will do bad things to your game it's what it does. If the wind is at your back a high shot is what you want. If the wind is in your face not so much. From the side you have to allow for it. I would not worry about it so much you are doing just fine.
