Well yea, if you did a who's your favorite golfer poll, Tiger would win hands down.

I think I would root against Lee Westwood.

I tend to root against any players who adopt a "the world is out to get me" attitude or who act like they world owes them for all their supposed adversity.    Sergio is sort of a poster child for the former and Woody Austin seems to fit as well, while players like Pat Perez and Sabbatini fit the latter.

I don't like any player who feels that their golf life is hard and difficult and that we the poor public just don't understand.   Sheesh, you play golf for a living, the only text book you've ever had to read is the Rules book (and amazing how many can't seem to handle that), you get perks handed to you constantly, and get paid a lot of money even if you're well down the money list.      Yes, the travel life probably isn't for all of us, but that's the profession you chose - don't try and act like it's a hardship.      You want hardship, look to someone like Ken Green trying to regain his status - that's hardship.

Every new Tour rookie should be forced to take "Arnold Palmer Lessons" on what it is to be a gracious professional, and if they can't pass the test then they shouldn't earn their card.

Tiger could win the most and least popular polls.

Sabbatini, Westwood, Crane, Woods, Langer, Cink, Love III, Olazabal, Pettersson, Villegas, Dimarco.

I used to root against Monty, but other than in a Ryder Cup, I hope he does well in tourneys.

I root against woods and mc carron. Woods mostly because I wonder what kind of scumbag goes out banging cheap looking Skags when they have a supermodel wife at home (and gets caught doing it - what a dumbass). McCarron because I think hes a real grade A P.O.S. for calling mickelson  a cheater for using ping wedges. I thing McCarron was just a jealous SOB because he missed the Cut. He oughtta just shut his non-scoring, non shot-making stupid mouth.

Seems a bit hypocritical to say you don't like someone because they're rude or conceited, yet you go on to blast them on a forum post.

Yeah, THEY'RE the A-holes..

I cheer against Tiger.  If he cheated on his wife, I don't trust him to not cheat at golf.  i.e. driver face shaving, performance enhancing drugs, balls moving just a little bit after being addressed and so on.

I also tend to cheer against Sergio.

If this is a joke it's very funny.  If it's not a joke it's ridiculous.

I think it's the opposite of ridiculous.

People judge potential business partners by their actions on the golf course. Is it too much of a stretch to judge a golfer's potential golf ethics by the decisions he makes in his personal life? He already lied about the blood spinning guy, the cheating on his wife, and probably other things I'd be aware of if I followed his story. Personally I don't think he cheats on the course, except for allowing his army of fanboys move that boulder in the desert. And it's a moot debate, because he's never out of focus long enough. But I can see how someone could draw a straight line from a devious personal life to on course behaviour, and they'd consider it totally unridiculous.

Unless he values the integrity of golf more than the integrity of his marriage (which, of course, is possible, in which case I have another reason to not like him), it is indeed a perfectly reasonable correlation to draw. A person is very unlikely to exhibit radically different personas in different aspects of their life. What they're willing to do in important areas shows what they're willing to do in less important areas. It's unlikely he makes a habit of cheating in golf, simply because it'd be basically impossible to get away with it, but the bottom line is that he's shown the standard he's willing to play by in life.

Not comfortable with your feminine side?  Probably the same reason you won't wear a pink shirt.  hehe

I actually like Poulter for dressing outside the box.

I like Poulter for the way he dresses, but I don't like his general attitude on the course. He is one of the more outgoing pros, interacting with other players and fans, so overall he's not that bad.

    • Day 5- Slow,  short swings with short practice club.
    • Lemme guess….’ We don’t want any confrontation so nobody says anything.’ Sheesh…..Call him out and fix the problem.
    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
