Charles had his chance in regulation, and it stinks seeing him finish 2nd. That being said, it's hard to gripe about a T3 and T2 to start the season. Congrats to Brian Gay on a solid win. Bring on Torrey Pines!

It does seem like he always has that one good event, we all say "man, I wish CH3 would be in competition more," we hear about new swing changes and how he's in a good place now, and then he fades away for the rest of the year.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

CH3 had a really strong 2011 season and finished T6 at East Lake. In all reality, he was a couple shots from winning The FedEx Cup which is a discussion for another day. He did his damage from June through the end of the season in 2011. He had a dreadful 2012 though and already has more top-fives than last year. He will always hit the ball well enough to compete, but his success will continue to depend on his putter. Right now, he is making putts. We'll see how it goes. His best years seem to happen in the odd years, so maybe he keeps it going in 2013. The guy still has a lot of years left, and he has won over 20 million. The way everyone talks about him, you would think he has played the Web.com Tour every other year.

Good tournament. DVR'd it and watched it in between watching NFL games.

Does what Stallings did constitute a "choke" - hate that word, but he looked yippie on some putts and chips (according to Sir Nick).

I was pulling for Charles Howell III - he won't get many chances like that again. Really has been a disappointment, imo.
