Probably a troll. I don't recall Rory ever making fun of Caroline after they broke up.

Calling someone a troll seems to be the fall back to people who don't like to be challenged on their assumptions. Anyone who wants to defend Rory's immature actions in the Wozniacki affair are welcome to but his behavior there was very immature. The way he handled the whole thing from the break-up, to the comments about it afterwards (all that yukking it up) to his "at least now I'm playing better golf ha ha" was pretty disgusting. It doesn't change my opinion of him as a terrific golfer but I don't think his personal behavior can be defended.

You're the probably the same type of person who thinks Tiger's personal behavior was okay or who thought it made Dustin Johnson more of a man to fool around with other men's wives. Yeah, I get that. I saw a lot of your kind over the weekend following DJ. They were the big loutish types who probably think it would be cool to do blow and mess around with a guy's wife.

Talk about trolls.

I don't remember Rory doing anything that would be considered immature or disgusting.  He's a pretty stand up guy and seems pretty respectful of everyone on Tour, even to Spieth whom he acknowledged deserved to be ranked #1.

You realize you're setting yourself and Spieth up to look bad. Jordan is going to have that moment where he lets his guard down and someone snaps a picture or video of him doing something stupid and out of character.  Spieth seems like a good kid, but he's a kid, building him up to be a saint or role model after only 1.5 years in the limelight is only going to make the fall that much harder.   Your posts about Jordan are doing him more damage than good, stay focused on his golf game.

I remember when everyone wished their son would be like Michael Phelps, that is until the pictures of him smoking pot got out.

Just b/c you like Jordan Spieth and think he is perfect doesn't make all other golfers evil. You have said nothing that makes me think any less of Rory. I have heard many people that know Rory talk about what a great guy he is. Jordan and Rory and friends. Why are you making stuff up to putt Rory down to somehow make Spieth look better? Also, where in my post have you ever seen me mention the word Dustin or Woods? Since I have never mentioned them, how do you correlate being involving in serial adultery or illegal drugs to breaking off an engagement.

I wrote you may be a troll. Your posts are so over the top it makes me think you are just trying to get a rise out of people, in an clever way. Look at this post for example, it's so full of BS about Rory and laden with irrelevant BS about TW and DJ that it just screams troll. Yeah, it's like JS has an army of boy scouts following him around and DJ has animal house. Lump in that other thread you started about your out of shape ass not being catered to at the PGA and it gets to be a little much.

If you are not a troll, then you should try to get a grip. Men or women your age fawning over somebody they don't know and putting down others to make their hero look good, is extremely weird. You come in here with a username like this and write this type of stuff. It's cool to be a fan, but give me a break.

Jordan is a good kid, great competitor.. Win or lose he is there when the final group comes in and congratulates the winner.. he was brought up right..

where is tiger?? he loses he hits the Mercedes and is gone in 60 seconds.. I take that last part back that was not fair.. Tiger cant be there to congratulate the winners.. he never makes the cut.. :)

Not to defend Tiger, but lets see how Jordan is acting when he hits 30 before we make judgements, he is still in the PGA honeymoon phase probably.

I'm not a wise man but if there is one thing ive learned it's that it's very very difficult to really know a person and how good/decent he is unless you have spent considerable time with him.

Being a nice guy infront of cameras, having good sportsmanship, signing autographs, praising your peers, etc has, in my expereince, absolutely feckall correlation to how good a person someone is.

Golf needs to do something to be popular post-Tiger. F-bombs and throwing clubs should be promoted. Spieth, Rory need to be Happy gilmore isn

Better yet, your kind could hide under every cartpath bridge, and all golfers walking over would be at risk of being attacked and eaten at random.

So, what is your answer to golf's decking popularity?

I think feeding unsuspecting golfers to the trolls whilst crossing water hazards is a fantastic idea. It would quench the blood-thirst of the hoi polloi, and you personally would never go to bed hungry. That's a true win-win for golf fans and trolls alike!

    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
    • Of course there's not a simple or knowable answer here. But the whole Caitlin Clark phenomenon is a nice example IMO. Suddenly there was wall to wall media coverage and national attention and... the women's tournament got similar ratings to the men's and much higher ratings than the men in the final four. With every indication that there will be some portion of the uptick that remains going forward. And there's the whole element that Sue Bird brought up. That basketball needed a pretty enough white superstar guard. One who looks like the "cute little white girls" that describes most of the soccer USWNT that's been able to achieve much higher popularity than any version of women's basketball, which is dominated by black players and none of any race who could be described as little... I do think women's sports are in a good place to start taking off more though. It's really only in the coming 5-10 years that the majority of girls will start to come of age with post Title IX grandmothers (as in their grandmothers were allowed to be serious athletes). I don't follow men's or women's basketball much, but in golf for sure the women's tour has gotten much deeper over the past 20 years and only looks to keep going in that direction. I've heard the same about women's basketball. And the patriarchal attitudes that socialized girls out of sports and everyone out of women's sports fandom aren't gone but have def diminished.
