Ok, whats the secret? All I can do is a low draw with my driver.

Tee it up higher...

Really, you already have the swing for the draw; you just need height. With a driver your loft comes from hitting up on the ball so I find it's easier to do so when I tee it up a bit (maybe half a ball width, tops). Adjusting the position will most likely just lose you your draw; so teeing it up a bit should be the fix.

I just wish i could get my swing path to give me a draw again. I tell you what, i can focus all i want, the best i can do is get a divot to go down the target line, never towards the right.

Our 6th hole requires a high draw, to promote this I tee it up just slightly, narrow may stance slightly and make sure the grip with my left hand is baby soft, and my swing though it stay behind the ball.

I'm not sure about the technical side of a swing but doing these things work for me.

Your swing plane is probably too flat. Try and keep the club head outside your hands longer on the backswing.

It's easy for me since I hit a natural draw, I simple tee it extra high and take my normal swing. try the following:

1) tee it extra high
2) play the ball near the front foot
3) slightly close the club face
4) take the club back on the inside path

It's easy for me since I hit a natural draw, I simple tee it extra high and take my normal swing. try the following:

If I close the face even a little I tend to hit it super low but it won't hurt to try.

The easiest way to hit it high is to have the face open. Open the face and swing a good deal in to out.

I have a hard time not pushing the ball way right when I do this. I guess my release is way to late?

That's just going to hit it lower. High draws are push draws. Not pull draws.

to hit a draw you want to take it outside to in.

Only if you want a big loop in your swing. Why not just take it back on plane and return the club on plane?

A high draw? Easy. Aim the clubface right of the target. Stay fairly square to the target. A clubface pointed right (for a righty) has more loft and the ball, if it draws, needs to start to the right anyway. So there's the "high" part with the room for the ball to draw. Now, to make sure you come slightly in to out (to get the draw part), you need to push the hips forward to move the circle forward. The circle to which I'm referring to is the circle around which we swing. Imagine viewing a golfer from overhead - the clubhead will swing in an arc. You want to hit the ball on the "back side" of that circle while the clubhead is still moving in to out. You can move this circle furthest forward by moving the weight furthest forward. Voila. High draw.

High tees the last two days at the range had me hitting some high draws.
(But I'm losing distance when the tees are that high.)

Tee up slightly higher to promote more spine tilt to the right...try to maintain that through the swing and hit your normal draw.

Open clubface with an inside out will never draw. It needs to be at least slightly closed, unless you are swinging very inside out (like 20 degrees inside out) for it to draw. All it will do is create a push. Better than a push slice, but still.

As long as you are swinging more inside-out than the clubface is open, the ball will draw.

Three degrees open with a swing path six degrees out is a push draw. Open to the target, closed to the path.

Good stuff. I may have to head back to the range tonight. I went today and it was just embarrassingly bad hooks with my driver. Everything else I hit was either straight or a slight draw. I have felt like I have been bending over to much lately so I tried standing more upright. Should I try a flatter swing inside to out? I feel like a train wreck right now with the big stick.

      I don’t measure my intake either. I generally have a black coffee, a bottle of soda, some sweet tea at home, and anything in between is water. An ice cold bottle of water is one of my favorite things. It feels like an immediate refresher for my body. I’ll admit that I need to drink a little more though.

      For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.

      This is why you should never have any expectations when you play golf even when you think things are starting to click together. In end golf will just curb stump you.
