Ever shot par for a hole....and were bummed?

Today Par 5 470 yards, great long drive following the curve of the dogleg, 122 yards to the pin (front placement).

Poor club choice and less than perfect shot to rough 3 yards off fringe. Bladed chip acriss green into opposite fringe. 2 putt for par.

saddest par for you?

I can't think of a saddest par, but I can give you saddest birdie. It was a few weeks ago. On a 260 yard par 4 I hit my driver to 7 feet. Then left the eagle putt short. Very disappointing.

I watched my brother-in-law put it three feet from the pin on his second shot into a Par 5 and then three putt from there once.

I absolutely LAUNCHED a tee shot an a par 5, all I had left was an easy 7 Iron for the green. I hit the shot, and was practically jumping out of my pants when it plopped 8 feet from the pin. I put wayyyyy to much thought into the eagle putt, and pulled it and was left with a 2' tap in for birdie. I tried to be 'cute' and tap it in using the toe of the putter turned sideways, which left me 2" short. Then tapped it in for par and threw my putter onto the next tee in frustration.

This is sorta opposite, but I got my 2nd birdie ever this past weekend:

Sliced my tee shot onto the next fairway, used my fairway wood to shoot towards the green, but ended up 30 yards right on the next teebox. Pitched it in the cup from 30 out for my 2nd birdie ever.....without ever playing from the correct hole.

This is sad in terms of long game not short. par 4 the other day I was laying at 3 and hit a 160yarder 3 feet from pin then i made par. the sad thing i can't make the distance of a short par 4 in two yet : ( it was kinda happy tho

On an outing last Sunday, guy I was with bladed his 3rd 40 yards past the green and beyond some low hanging trees. His 4th, a punch to get under the trees, hits the cart path that circles the green, bounces up over the green-surrounding berm, drops into to 2nd cut, slowing the ball enough to roll into the cup about 7 yards off the back. The rest of us asked him "how did you time the windmill?"

I had almost the same thing happen to me. Tight, uphill par 4 273 yards. Tremendous drive to 2 1/2 feet, everyone in my group was in awe and I blow putt for eagle. Saddest birdie of my life.

I've done the exact same thing, except it was only a 270-yd par 4. Drove to the center of the green, maybe 15 feet from the pin. First putt 6 feet short, second putt 8 feet long, third putt lipped out, fourth putt tap in for the most bitter bogey I've ever had.

I once drove the fringe on a Par4 that has a huge hill in the middle of the fairway and I just got a perfect bounce and roll to the side of the green. I then 3putt for par to tie the hole with my friend and lose the round hugeee wtf moment haha.
