I've found a bag of tees, they have different lengths and different colored stripes on them. The're blue markings, green and red. I ran out of the green lined tees and by gawd I can not hit the ones w/the blue lines!  I have learned that the green ones are exact for my driver..however, I ran out of the green ones and have not a proto-type to measure the long blue line/striped tees!  Yeah, its MENTAL!

I think this type of aversion is a superstition thing.  Most (many?) golfers, including me,  have at least one such superstition.  But if you think it is true then most likely for you it is.  Certainly mental and personal.  Just goes to show that in golf you have to believe what you're doing works or it won't.

I swear I have never been able to hit the ball from a red tee as long as I can remember. I'm colorblind and it gets in my head that its going to be impossible to find the thing.

If I'm teeing off with an iron, I must must must use a broken tee...  Superstitious?  Absolutely.

Morn'n all.  Feeling buch better now knowing that I'm not the only one.  Played a 4 man scramble today, afterwards I asked a friend how he played.."Terrible, didn't help much"!  Said, 'sorry, what happened"?  DIDNT GET MY PARKING SPACE!   hope everyone has a great weekend.

Glad I'm not the only one. I never use a "good tee" when teeing off on a par 3. I don't think it affects me at all but I just don't do it. Call me crazy..

I can only carry four white wooden tees in my pocket at any given time. I cannot tee off with plastic tees or coloured wooden tees! Madness.

The color doesn't matter much, but I only have two tees in my pocket at any given time

Not to make you think during your swing, but white is a color.

I'm over it! I am now using blue and red wooden tees...and hitting the ball pretty well!

I prefer to think of them as proven tee's... very risky to take your tee shot on a par 3 with an unproven one.

I don't really have superstitions about colors of tees, but mine is that I have to drink a cup of coffee before a golf round.  Over the past summers, when I didn't drink coffee before the round, my putting was horrid, but with coffee i'd putt very well!  Without coffee, I'd feel uncomfortable on putts within 8ft and miss a good chunk of the time, but with coffee, I'm comfortable and sink the putt most of the time.

I am a Red Tee only person. Like they said in the movie Bull Durham: "if you think you're hitting the ball because you're getting laid or not getting laid or because you are wearing women's underwear then you are" and that's the end of that.  LOL
