Lee Westwood shoots 60 in Thailand!

Par 72 hole course so 12 under! Started his round with 4 birdies and an eagle in the first 5 holes.

To put it in perspective, Sergio Garcia, who has been in great form of late, shot 76. This course is no pushover.

quite a round- I didn't recognize more than a couple handfuls of names, but considering that only 1 other guy was under 68 and a few over 80, it is very impressive.  The 65 by John Daly may also have been his best of the year.

Guy is in form!

Just 5 strokes ahead of Daly, that's not a good sign (usually )

Why is this not the healine?

Isn't it about time for John to win a tournament so we can read some stories about how he hit bottom and is turning it around?

The headline is when he makes a cut and doesn't give up after 63 holes.

If he "shoots 60" some day, it might not be on a golf course.

He leads by a massive 11 shots after 2 rounds.

What a couple of days of golf! Has he missed a shot yet? Another player that needs to take the next step and win a major.

60 and a 64.

Unreal. The 64 probably felt like a 73 after his first round

He actually said the 64 felt better than the 60 since it was played in tougher conditions. 20 under par through 2 rounds, when's the last time that happened?

He also said that during the 60 he missed a few putts i.e. it could have been a 58. I mean, that's totally uncalled for.

-12 is pretty good.  It has been topped, but still impressive.  Just too bad it was Westwood.  Oops,

Does anybody know if there's a record kept of the lowest consecutive rounds in relation to par? Lee Westwood doing 20 under got my thinking about it.

I know Martin Kaymer once shot 23 under for the final 2 rounds of a EPD Tour (3rd tier tour in Europe) event back in 2006, he shot 59-62 on a par 72 course to win the event by 10 shots. Imagine being able to follow a 59 with a 10 under par 62
