That golf course looks pretty good. I want to fly over Bandon Dunes or Cabot Cliffs.

It’s really good. My computer is 4 years old and runs it pretty well, all things considered.

Bummer. I don't have a gaming computer, this is coming to the Xbox, but it'll be a long wait. Looking at custom builds, looks like it'll cost at least 600 USD to run this thing.

Can you fly over Bandon Dunes and do a screencap, lol?

I didn't either. I kept stalling and crashing. But the visuals in this one are amazing.

I had a flight sim for radio control planes.   It was great for learning new tricks on real RC planes.  It ran on Windows 98.   I could pick all different types of RC planes and using a realistic RC controller do several types of aerobatics.    I inquired about updating the software to Windows 10 and the price had jumped about 800% over what I paid back in the day.    I still have that old Windows 98 laptop and may fire it up to use the RC flight sim.

The MS 2020 flight sim does look great.

If they bring it to Xbox I'll definitely buy it. The 2014 Mac Mini I have running Windows 10 in Bootcamp doesn't even come close to meeting the required specs for PCs, though.

Last Microsoft FS I purchased was FS2004. At that time there was also a very active 3rd party ATC simulation that someone was able to merge the pieces, so not only were you flying from point A to point B, you were doing it under the control of live verbal ATC. I tried both parts, and it was always interesting seeing a plane appear on you radar screen, and the pilot reporting in.

I spent way too many hours flying from Chicago to LA, or Chicago to NY. Cross county would have kept me up all night.

Here you go. These are on the lowest settings possible, FWIW.

Thanks! Pretty good, guessing it’s not  custom mapped.

Ok damn it. I gotta try this simulator. My kid has a serious gaming PC and I’m sure this will look awesome. Maybe they’ll make this for VR Oculus Rift?

    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
    • Day 96 (18 Mar 24) - Continued work with the Divot Board with the GW and hard foam balls.  Focused on small target/small miss…setup to hit target about 30yds out - success if it hit within 6’ circle of target, fail if outside.  Had decent success averaging about 3 out of 4 (hitting in groups of four).
    • Wordle 1,003 3/6 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩   felt a little like Wyndham when the first three green and I began the fist pump…
    • I'm relieved someone finally defined hiking. I was giddy when I saw these new TPI videos a day or so after they dropped. Very easy to understand the problem and solution the way they have presented it. Been working on fixing this for about a year and a half now. It's nice to be able to call it something so communication becomes easy.  I was working on more lateral and up too, but just having someone define it clearly in video form was so helpful for me to continue confidently with what I thought was wrong and how I had to fix it.  My conceptual error here was just trying to rotate like a tour pro but without including the necessary forward pressure/weight shift associated with enough lateral and upward motion of the pelvis.  This video is great too, as is Greg Rose.
    • Day 2.    couple mins of rolling putts end over end.    10 mins of Slow, mirror work, working on starting the downswing and impact wrist positions. Hit a couple balls into the net after.    Then finished with a couple chips to see if I could repeat what I worked on yesterday.
