Wordless Music Orchestra does INXS cover. This is how you take the staleness out of stodgy classical music.

Currently swapping between Amercian Psycho/Save rock and roll - Fall out Boy and The Endless River - Pink Floyd, fantastic old fashioned album where you need to just kick back and listen to it from start to finish.

I have to say reading through the list of bands/songs here its made me feel old at 35....haven't heard of most of them (artic monkeys of course as they are from just down the road).

I would never have thought id be like my dad "thats not music, its just random noises"

Russ, from "sunny" Yorkshire = :-(

A bit viral now, but if you haven't seen PostModern Jukebox, they're doing some pretty cool takes on various hits from different eras, transforming them into all kinds of classic styles:

All About that Bass (3-piece jazz style)

80's Paula Abdul, Straight Up (in Astaire/Rogers style)

Nice @RandallT This escaped my radar. On first watch of Kate Davis. I thought, who is this woman? She's gonna be a star. Then I looked her up and her career is starting to take off. I love that she's a double bassist.

Agreed. I was floored by her, so I've watched stuff on her channel. The pianist seems to be the driver behind the PMJ thing, and he brings in different talent for each song. They do some really incredible stuff. They do a cover of "Talk Dirty to Me" where they translate the rap to Yiddish! That song always reminded me of a Yiddish style. I think they do Blurred Lines as a hoedown style. Lol. Interesting interpretations with talented musicians and singers guest-starring in different ones.

    • the rules have changed, but this would fall under 11.2 in the current rules.  General Penalty to any player who deliberately deflects a ball in motion, and you must replay the putt.
    • Day 250 4-29 Getting chest through with speed on downswing and wrist arch. Also worked on some moving the pelvis slightly away in the backswing. Feel like im going too fast and long, looks like it on the recordings too.
    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
