Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?

Recommended Posts

Just when I say I'm done, I go and buy something else... WELL I'M DONE!! Couldn't pass these up, been looking at them for a while now and walked into Golf Town and they were on clearance for $40. Looking forward to trying them out tomorrow morning.

They had these for 50 at the adidas outlet. I was not so sure I liked the White stripes but maybe for 40... How do you like them?

Pretty boring purchase for me im afraid. 2 packs of tees and a dozen airflow balls. The latter are currently being used by my 2 year old and his mini set of clubs.

Just ordered a couple clubs from US Kids Golf for my son and daughter.

Got my son a TS57 5 iron.  He has a Cleveland junior set that has 7i and a hybrid but he feels there's a gap between them.  I'm not really sure about that, but oh well.

My daughter has the US Kids Golf UL57 set, left handed.  The set maxes out with a "fairway driver" so I'm getting her the actual driver to fill it out.

10.5 deg Ping G30, Callaway X2 Hot Pro 3W, Taylor Made Rescue 3H, Ping G30 irons
Cleveland TA 900 SW, Mizuno T-Zoid LW, Odyssey DF Rossie I

Bought my first driver on Tuesday, Srixon Z754 with miyazaki kusala blue 61x shaft. They don't make the shaft any more but it was in the pro's driver and I hit that better than anything and he wanted a new shaft anyway so sold it to me for half.

I just walked 18 holes today with them. They're fantastic, plain and simple. Plenty of grip even for the wet conditions around town today and extremely comfortable. They're the first spikeless shoe I've had and honestly, I should've done this years ago for the amount I walk. Give them a go, for the price they're great. Personally, I think they look awesome too - the white ones are also nice. I might make a trip back to see if they have the white ones as well for the same price.

I saw Martin Kaymer and Jim Furyk wearing them this year on tour as well as a handful of Euro tour players.

Decided to swing in and play a quick nine at the course where I play.  But didn't have a collared shirt on, as required.  So, rather than make a trip home and back, I picked up a collared Under Armor shirt in the pro shop for $30.

    • I have that club and absolutely love it!
    • Have a 19° (moved to 20.5°) Titleist 915H. I just love the club. Beautiful feel off the sweetspot, high launch, soft landing. Versatile. In the future, with less overall speed I will replace my 4 and 5 irons with another hybrid, something around 26°.
    • Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.
    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.
