Cracks me up that Na uses all Titleist equipment, but still uses that King Cobra 13°. The other difference is that his shaft is a Matrix Ozik Code 7.

Must be because Titleist doesn't make a deep-faced fairway wood (that I know of).  Never have tried a Speeder 757 but the word on it is that it is stout and low-spin.  Just hoping to find that combo to give me a 230-yd tee shot with an allergy to the rough (aren't we all).

Titleist has the 713-FD which is their version of a deep faced fairway wood.

Well today I spent $2 at the golf store. Had them bend my Ping G2 HL 3 iron 1.5* strong (to 19.5). Going to try the driving iron thing when it warms up. Was at 205 yards with this club, hoping for 10 more.

Picked up two r11 gloves on sale for 10$. My favourite glove iv ever used. Also got some of the new nike rzn platinum balls and got a free trial pack with a 3 sleeve of all 4 of their new balls.

a Wilson M3 putter...$40. I run two bags, in either trunk of either car. I got stuck the other day with an Odyssey 2-ball putter. The Odyssey putts fantastic, but cannot pick up the ball like my Scotty. Of course I tried out the Majors...Ping, Odyssey, TM, Yes, etc.. and sank most the putts with them from 15ft on a dead flat surface . I rimmed the 6 putts with the Wilson, like clockwork. It has a decent grip and picks the ball up just like scotty..ciest la vie.

I'll be going clothes shopping this weekend, most likely. I also need to pick up some balls so I may try a few dozen of the Srixon Tri-Speed Tours if they're still on sale. I used to love the ZStar and regular Tri-Speed balls before I switched up to the NXT Tour.

I also need a few gloves. Since I switched to the Winn DriTac, my glove has been eaten alive. It's crazy to think the DriTac is wearing down my glove faster and harder than the GP NDMC did.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
