Paid $90 for 18 @ Chambers Bay in Tacoma, WA.

My first and only links golf experience. Paid $90 to have the course make me look like a fool.

Yes, I would do it again.

$80 at Cinnabar Hills in San Jose.  Outstanding.  Truly can't wait to go back.

Payed $150 to play Cabo Del Sol during my honeymoon about 12 years ago. Payed over $100 many times, but I play so much free golf it doesn't kill me to shell out some cash when to opportunity to play somewhere nice presents itself.

$180 to play the K-Club in dublin out of season.

Was a mistake, but I was on vacation so meh.

Next time im in Ireland I would rather spend that money on a links course.  Aside from the name/Ryder cub being there, the K-Club wasn't very spectacular.

About $100 at Turning Stone Casino resort (Shenandoah)....best course I've ever played but expensive for my taste..

I think I've paid more, some place, and don't remember where, but I paid $60 to play Troon North in Scotsdale, one hot August day.  For sure, one of the nicest courses I've been on.

I love to hate this game!

Back in 2000 I was in San Fran for a job interview & I stayed a couple extra days, having never been there before. I paid $85 to play Half Moon Bay. I loved it so much I went back the next day & paid another $85 to play it.

Paid about $250 for St Andrews, and about the same for Carnoustie the following year.

Carnoustie is the better course but St Andrews for the atmosphere nails it by miles.

Same here.  I try to catch the fall twilight rate but it's tough because they start so late that it's tough to finish the course before dark unless your foursome is hitting well.  I have a wedding at Turning Stone this year and am looking forward to a round at Shenandoah or Kaluhyat as part of the festivities.

$350 or so to play Whistling Straits - Straits course.  The course was immaculate, and had a great time.  Pete Dye is one cruel designer though.  You miss in the wrong spot and you will pay for it.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
