ive kept my mouth shut about it for awhile but its just annoying. yall sound like that old lady that sits on her rocking chair and just trys to get in everyones buisness on block. living in a rowhome in philly its understood what you hear or see stays to yourself. everyone needs to live by this. if tiger wants to go out abd bang 30 girls and let his family down thats his call noone elses. all i care about is if he is going to play and how well hes going to do. do i agree with what he did? no not at all. but im not going to sit there and ask him why and how his family is doing. if i was tiger id tell everyone to stay outta my buisness. he might be a roll model but that doesnt make him perfect. hes human. to be honest i dont know how id act if I had girls slobbering all over me all day. and people always say he let the children down. no the parents let the children down. when i was younger it didnt matter what my idol was doing my parents taught me wrong from right. get off the dudes nuts and let him play golf and handle his personal life. its annoying as shit. just curious if you appologize to your neighbor when you and your wife argue and he hears it? no? thats because u dont want people in your buisness. so stay outta his and let him play golf.

Doctorfro,

The point is the "whole sorrid thing" is none of our business. He plays golf for a living. We watch him play. If you don't like him, don't watch him play. I don't put him on a pedestal.

Exactly, we watch him play. What he does off the course, or outside anything related to golf, is none of our business.

I guess you don't have children.

I have a daughter. She knows darn well she can respect Tiger's talent and effort/hard work, but she also knows darn well that she won't get away with cursing, throwing clubs, or otherwise misbehaving.

Tiger could serve as a role model for one thing, give or take: his work ethic. Since we knew nothing - NOTHING - of his personal life, anyone who assumed he was a role model for "being a good person" was a moron and got what they deserved recently. As for my daughter's moral role models, those remain my wife and I. And her grandparents. Possibly a teacher or two.

Maybe Ill have to drop by on my lunch break Friday! lol yeah right! It would be cool to see him in person, but there's no way they will let the public in to watch this press conference. I guess Ill have to wait till the players championship. It will be my first PGA event.

I agree with Iacas' two questions above....I could care less about the rest.

For sure this whole thing is going to be controlled and scripted, and Tiger will say all the right things. Great timing too with everybody distracted with Olympics, NBA trade deadline, etc. Looking forward to having him back, watching golf isn't the same without Tiger in the field.

I can't wait for the interview. I only care to hear when/if he is coming back and could care less about the other stuff at this point.

EXACTLY! I hope he announces a plan, and keeps the BS questions at rest.

Swing - Mulligan - Repeat

The one thing I loved about today's developments was that the photo of Tiger running was not taken by a paparazzi who could've cashed in on the 7-figure bounty for the "1st sighting" photo (at least I hope that report that no bounty would would be had was true).

Another funny thing they are saying is that he is taking away coverage of the accenture tournament the same company that used to sponsor Tiger lol

It's a load of crap. He's not going to field questions. "Tightly scripted". Only certain media allowed. He's not doing anything he's not in control of. He's a coward.

I pretty much agree. The media and his fans may not be entitled to any information concerning his private life, but he will not be able to put this crap to rest until he truly has an open session with the media. Let them fire all the questions they want, answer them the best you can and it's done with.

I don't know why he's bothering with a press conference such as this. He could have just posted a statement on his website that would have accomplished the same thing.

I agree but let's face it his behavior since the crash hasn't been encouraging in that respect. He needs to show some toughness given his present predicament. Maybe he views this session like training wheels .....

I'm hoping that TW doesn't come across as if the public is entitled to no information about his private life whatsoever. Because if he does, what's the point? - unless he's just going to talk about his golfing plans of course.

Spill the beans Tiger ...get it behind you and come on back. I don't need to know all the sorted details of this myself....but the media is obsessed with it so Tiger needs to clear the air for that reason only.

tiger should get up there and announce, ''i am officially retiring from professional golf.'' then a few minutes later announce that he was just joking, and comment on the funny looks on everyone's faces.

Always break news that you want swept under the cover on a Friday. Though he missed the Friday afternoon part of it. These Winter Olympics can't get a break. First American Idol is cleaning their clock and now Tiger swoops in to still some thunder! LOL

Brett Favre defense! I like it! LOL

Come on he can't field questions in that format. No way in heck. Now if he wants to go that route and maybe have a bit of control then maybe his next move is an Oprah apperance. Or maybe not.

So now.........................................who wants to take bets that his wife will be at his side????????

Good point. hmmm, maybe Tiger is planning to announce that he's running for Governor of CA - the heck with the silly game of you-know-what. After all, he's shown that he's got some of the necessary credentials ....

    • Day 133: did a stack session.
    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.
    • Day 58 - 2024-11-27 Some quick 90-yard shots on a particular hole… before a lesson and testing out multiple Foresight Launch Monitors on GSPro.
    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
