Okay I'm not even close but with so many members here I was wondering who was the closest to getting on tour? maybe you could get some sponsors out of this. I think I could of been a pro had my parents had money and I started playing at age 2. I started at 25 and didn't see much improvement until 29 when I finally took some lessons. So what's your story?

Maybe somebody is already on like the nation wide tour. But your probably not hanging by a computer but instead practicing 24/7.

My guess is Ben too. Though I remember seeing one guy with a +3 handicap, which would be Ben's, which is listed as +2.5.

I am a "Pro."
When the four grandparents were deciding on which name they wanted our first grandchild to call us, I said I wanted to be "Pro." So now I have 4 and 2 year olds, and that's what they call me.
Hopefully, one of these days when they're a bit older we'll have a good laugh and they'll see the humor in it.

I'm as close as I am to making love to Scarlett Johannson.

I can't see how anyone close to being a PGA tour pro would be on this forum. I mean let's be honest, even the pros ranked 400th in the world are still CRAZY good. I mean these guys on the big boys tours are just insane with what they do. Not even most scratch golfers could be considered close to tour material.

Very true statement...a scratch golfer still needs to get to +4 or +5 to be in the big show. To get there from scratch is still miles.

    • Are there going to be episodes outside teaching and lessons or is it the heart of the podcast?  Me personally, as a self-tough player, don't find this segments appealing to hear. I do love the idea of short episodes straight to the point.
    • Not sure I'm picturing it correctly. Was the path parallel to or perpendicular to the line of play? How were the bushes orientated?
    • I do agree with this, its pretty much impossible to make a definitive ruling based only on a typed description.  In addition to the factors listed, it would also depend on the intended line of play, whether it was more perpendicular to the path (interference more likely), or more parallel (less likely).  I based my initial response on the OPs claim that there was indeed interference.  But based on his description, my best guess is that his relief area would have been into the bushes.
    • Good info - thanks. Didn’t know that about club length. My irons are 1.5 over and I assumed my woods should be too.
    • $50…. Maybe go to a local Play it Again Sports store and see what you can pick up.  Check online at 2nd Swing.  You can choose drivers and sort by price.  I saw a 2013 Callaway x hot driver prices range on there from $48 to $169 depending on condition. As far as your height in relation to club length.  Your irons should be longer than standard but your driver and 3 wood should not be.  Just buying off the rack should be fine
