A shot by a guy... Out of light rough, from 60. Two hops and a trickle if you "pure it effortlessly."

Yeah, except it's Lori who does it. Probably a good thing as she'd have missed the two-footer she'd have had left.

I wonder what brian does to cheat. I remember when Christina was accused of cheating for stepping on a divot or something in a teeny "teeing area" where they got to PLACE their ball and it had been dug up by other contestants. That was a crock.

Well, so much for Me being polite, and posting a spoiler warning for those who might not want to know the identity of the strike eraser shot and the cheater, and therefore can avoid the video or not click the link. Well done lads! :|

I cant wait for the next episode to find out who cheater is. Do you guys remember Brian on early Big Break? I remember my kids laughing and saying Hey Dad,check this out, this guys a tool Ha Ha! I find it hard to believe that after the first show nobody told him how nuts he sounds.

"They apparently love each other. That's what they are saying, so......."

Also learned today that a player with zero strikes will be guaranteed a place in the final show..... If Lori, or Sara, or any of the other one strike players can erase their strike, they will play in the final. Blair and Christina have zero strikes right now, so are we looking at potentially three women in the finals? I have no idea how many willl play in the finals.... will it be all zero strike players AND the MVP leaders on each side? That could be three ladies and one guy. Will it be evened out with three v three or two v two no matter what?

Is it good strategy at this point for the men NOT to try to give Christina a strike, and LET her get to the final show, as she is probably not playing as well as Blair or Sara, and does not have the pressure packed experience that Lori has?

I was hesitant to embrace this scoring system at the beginning of the season... but I really do like it now. With two shows to go, we have no idea who will be in the finals. That ususally does not happen with the previous format, when the best players are clearly identified by half-way, and you could name two or three possible final match combos and pretty much get it right each year.

On a side note, anyone know where I can watch (online probably) past BB seasons? I watched the first few, then didnt' watch much after that until this season and the two prior seasons. I would like to go back and watch a season or two.

Thanks

@ Bryan SD2 - im sure youtube will have them

watch BB PEI (Prince Edward Islad)
it was a GREAT series and a Canadian won it too (Derek Gilespie)
quite a few from this series were on PEI too
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

I don't know of anywhere on the web that you can see full episodes of past BB's and I've looked pretty hard. Fancast used to have them but they aren't there any longer.

My wife and I have a theory regarding Elena and Brian. She's just pretending to love him so she can marry him and have a legal right to institutionalize him. But..... she will do it with such poise and grace it will seem almost effortless, like a dance.

I was just wondering that myself. I just shut my cable/net/phone off for a awhile and miss the show a little. It is sure quiet in the house though.

No where legally at least.

I wonder how the producers had opportunity to influence the show. Do you think they had all of the competitions set up before filming or do you think they made some choices based on trends and outcomes? I can't help but think that there may be a bit of choreographing to cater to the women?

On the other hand, the guys have all-to-often played like pu$$ies.

Titleist 910D2 10.5* Stiff / Taylormade 3 Wood - Superfast 2.0 15*  3 Superfast 2.0 Rescue 18* Stiff Shafts

A driving challenge, with a multipoint win a possibility, certainly does not cater to the women. I did some research on the Brian Elana situation, and Brian only has $10,000 life insurance policy. So then, no reason she's wooing him only to split him open with a rusty wedge, call it an accident and cash in.

The mystery continues....

It is possible that both Brian and Elena have the same weirdnesses and don't see it in one another. At any rate, the next show should be a killer.

It is even more incredible when you hear it in a re-airing of the episode playing in the background as you grab a bite after a long day....

"If I just let my ability and everything I've learned take over, I should be able to flat out dominate."

"the swing was effortless, the balance, the tempo, the transition, the power... Just gorgeous."

"I didn't execute because I am not emotionally right. Because I have anger."

You couldn't write this stuff!! Coupled with a drive 40 yards left of center, and you have Big Break Gold! I pray he somehow gets into the final show/challenge/something similar and extremely high pressure. I wanna see an epic meltdown, of laugh out loud, tears in your eye, save it on the DVR proportions.

"I don't want to be good. I don't want to be great. I what to be a Super. Star."

"The balance, the finish, the poise. How I do iit, it's like a dance.". After a good bunker shot, but with the crappiest move through the ball and a sudden, harsh, yank, twisting finish? Congrats to Andrew (and presumably others) for telling him no way he plays in the benching challenge. "It's downright RUDE to not let me play in a benching challenge at this point.". And then "I believe I'm the most talented player, bar nome, here. Period."

I haven't been to the forums in a while, but I've been watching this show all season and I'm glad that other people are commenting on how insanely delusional Brian appears to be about his abilities. It doesn't really annoy me, though, because it's flat out hilarious. I've honestly never, ever heard somebody talk about how gorgeous and beautiful aspects of their OWN game are. I played football for many years with cocky athletes who never talked about how impressed they were by their own abilities the way this guy does. I die laughing every time he goes into a soliloquy about his enormous talents.

Anyhow, who believes Brian when he says he was wiping dirt/grain off of his hand? Brandon

Did you see today's episode? He started a challenge with a 267 yard drive into the right rough and went on to say that is nowhere near the length he hits it regularly. He said he is "by far" the longest hitter out there and if any of the guys say otherwise they are "lying to you and themselves."

I love it! Brandon

I personally think Brian is the funniest BB contestant ever. I think they should bring him back for every season, including the all women seasons just to listen to him talk and see if he could eventually win something.

Interesting show this evening. Looking forward to the final. Brian beat Sara, what a shocker that was even though Sara helped some. Maybe love has helped Brian's game some (no pun intended).

Butch

The idiot apparently forgets, never knew, or is unable to retain the fact that has a former National Long Drive CHAMPION on his team. But he's the longest? It is clear(er) after tonights episode that Elana is indeed just as delusional, socially inept, and deeply overvalues her talents as Brain does.

Also, no way he was rubbing sand off his hand, which he later said was sticky. Sticky? Did it adhere to his hand AFTER he hit his approach shot? When? Then he said maybe his nerves got to him? Ridiculous and appalling. Lying cheat no doubt about it. Testing the surface no doubt about it. Penalty stroke or loss of hole in match play.

Did he idiot really NOT play all his second shots in the drive and hit to the circle challenge?

He is in the finale though, I like that. I'm predicting a snowman on a par 4 and a cart driven into the ocean, but it will be the wrong cart as the fool cant even implode properly. Lori will don a wetsuit and dive for Arods sunken clubs on the crashed cart. Guliani falls in love with Lori as she emerges. the female host realizes the guy host is a bit of a goof, and runs off into the bushes for some wild time with Blake. He misses badly and to the right. Elana apparently forgot about calling Christina a bitch when she-Brenda- AND Laura all reminded her that putting was allowed during a challenge a few shows ago. Her and Brain are perfect for each other. I'm done w her. Hotness only goes so far.

I also NEVER EVER EVER DOUBLE SECRET SUPER DUPER EVER EVER EVER miss a putt from four feet. And my name also, is Bryan...

Great show.

    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
