I got my copy of GolfWorld magazine yesterday. It has an ad for the next BB show. As you might have guessed from the spots following BB Sandals, it picked the contestants you most wanted to be booted off the show for about the last three or four years. You know, the ones whose personalities and attitudes needed more work than their short game?

I won't go over who they are, but one look at the photo and you'll immediately recall at least nine or ten of them.

Honestly, I really don't know if I'll be able to watch.

I got nervous when I saw this thread and thought that I hadn't set my DVR in time! I will be watching for sure! I think I really got into this show just waiting for a massive blowup from some of these contestants that they are bringing back. Oh ya, and the golf too

The most amusing thing about the Big Break: Dominican Republic promos is how Lori is positioned in the group title card: on SD television screens, she is cropped out of the frame entirely.

I hated him when the show first started, but after a few episodes I came to realize that more of the contestants were even bigger d-bags than Guiliani. Love or hate him, I think he was more real than most of the other contestants on that season.

As for this show in general, I couldn't be more excited...these guys are what kept the show exciting. More than often, it's not the golf thats fun to watch on this show, IMO.

I like to keep track of some of the events they go through and then try to duplicate them on my home course during a practice round to see how I do. Makes for a fun side game with the buddies.

Like breaking the glass windows? The only windows I can find are on the houses next to the course. Think they will mind?

For positioning in that photo, Big Break producers obviously handicapped the women based on looks. That's why Lori is off the (SD) screen, as someone put it, and Brenda is one position inside her. I agree with their top seed, Christina Lecuyer. After that I'd quarrel and put Elena second, then Blair followed by Sara. Big Break used Blair second, then Sara and Elena. I'm confident they would have placed Elena above Sara if Elena hadn't been ousted so early in Sandals Resorts, in fact the first one out, and therefore mostly forgotten.

Andrew followed by Brian was the logical ordering for the men, in terms of high profile and unique. Three others played the jerk role and "Football" was brought back for the same reason Elena was, booted too early after the producers saw promise.

BTW, apparently this will be a vastly different format, a team competition split by gender with 6 players per team and no one booted. You're wasting your time rooting for Andrew or anyone else to get kicked off. The winner will be the MVP of the winning team. How that is determined will be one of the plot lines, I'm sure.

Well, I haven't seen this one get started yet so, lets get with it.

I've gotta go with my sweetie, Sara Brown!! The sweetheart of the links just cause she's so damned cute.

Tell you guys what, The guys that pick someone to win and gets disqualified first have to buy all the guys that pick the winner a sleeve of balls. What do you think?

Duffy,

Striving every day to be the person my dogs think I am.

    • Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
    • Got a rare birdie on #18 Par 5.  Drive was good and left me in range of the green.  I was @ 210 from the center and needed @ 180 to clear a hazard area.  Green had bunkers lest, right and on back. had been struggling and most shots were short so I took the 225 club figuring back of green hit well. i did hit it well, @ 229 per SS and dead on—kind at the pin.  Ended up @ 1 foot off the back in short rough and lucky for me it was a back pin placement.  Chipped about 15 feet leaving a 3 feet putt for par which I sunk.
    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
