I know it sounds nasty but the Bacon, Egg and Cheese wrap from Dunkin Donuts is soundy pretty good on this cold morning right about now. Along, with a medium hot skim/1 sugar.

Has anyone tried Taco Bell's new chipotele sauce? It's amazing.

I see you're using the Bobby Flay spelling of "chipotle" there.

I was in Buffalo for the last few years, so I occasionally visited Taco Bell because there was a dearth of even passably decent Mexican food. But now that I'm back in the southwest the odds of going to Taco Bell instead of a taco shop or fast-serve Mexican restaurant are slim to none.

I don't know about you guys, i thought American great fast food was Macdonald, Burger King and A&W; ? Me and 4 million people grew up with Macdonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken...

Drunk food has a certain appeal doesn't it?!? Try it again for lunch and blech. There's a pizza place in Edmonton (The Pickle Place or something like that) and it's packed at 2 am. During the day when the taste buds are all functioning, it's one of the worst pizzas in the city.

I don't have a particular favorite when it comes to fast food although I do think Hardees (or Carl's Jr., depending on location) makes a better burger than most of their competitors. There are three places I avoid when it comes to fast food: (1) Taco Bell and (2) Fazzoli's, because the concept of fast food does not work well with either Mexican or Italian cuisine; and (3) Chik-Fil-A, because I think they're overrated and overpriced. Just about every fast food company in America makes a chicken sandwich that is as good or better for less money.

I'd put Chipotle up there. We finally had one open in Erie yesterday.

We have both a Red Robin and a Fuddrucker's. I agree with you on Red Robin but I would hardly call Fuddrucker's fast food. I can't think of anytime I've ever been there that I haven't had to wait at least 8-10 minutes for my order...just as I would at Red Robin.

Glad to see that In-N-Out is getting so much love. I've actually worked at one for the last seven years and still love the burgers (I eat one almost everyday)!

We have a Fuddrucker's in the food court at the Millcreek Mall here in Erie. You wait for your burger at In-n-Out and Five guys, too.

In-n-Out, Fuddrucker's, Five Guys: - no waitresses or waiters - drinks come in styrofoam or paper cups - trays to carry your food - get your own refills (except in the mall food court of course) Red Robin - Sit down booths - Fuller menu - Waiters, waitresses, and drinks come in glass or plastic cups - waiter gets your refills - food delivered on actual plates with real silverware That's how it is here anyway. I haven't seen a Fuddrucker's sit-down joint, but I'm sure it's somewhat like Red Robin but also still somewhat like InO and FG.

My criteria for "fast food" apparently differs from yours. I view it as anyplace where you can place your order and get it to go in 5 minutes or less, the condiments are already on your sandwich, you can get it in a bag to go, and alcoholic beverages are not served. Our Fuddrucker's doesn't meet any of these conditions so to me it's not a fast food restaurant. To me it's more like Red Robin than it is like McDonald's or Hardees (no experience with 5 Guys or In-N-Out).

By the way...here's one you might want to avoid:

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
