Definitely looking forward to earning some paint this summer. Lost weight? A bit. 15 pounds or so. The running is helping.

You know how someone's swing tends to look the same even if they take lessons, improve pieces, etc.? They still look the same?

I asked him if that's what he meant, and he said "no, I couldn't identify you from a few fairways away. You look like a completely different guy swinging the club."

I'm taking that as a compliment. I'm playing better - I still get some weird shots when I do 2 of 3 things right not the third (for example) - and I know I'm on the right path.

The left arm comes down across the chest at the proper rate. If it's slow the shoulders and hips are too open. The left shoulder is too far to the left so the left arm has to shoot out a little too much (angle DL, left arm too far from vertical).

Yesterday was, by far, the best ball striking day of my career. It coincided with an average putting day (I missed some makeable ones, but sunk two that I was just trying to two-putt). I controlled the curve, contact was good (except one tee shot and two fairway bunker shots where the ball was 1/4 down in the sand - maybe I should have bladed them?), trajectory and distances were nice. Ivan was in town and he said to me "your swing, it only goes to A3 now." He also said I'd obviously picked up some distance. This kind of stuff, like what I said above, makes me really happy. It's rare for someone's swing to change - even over 20 years - let alone in a few years. The work I've put in is paying off. Go me.

You guys are being sarcastic, right?  Oh well.  If not, the right arm pretty much only has three possibilities in the golf swing:  arm extension/flexion, forearm extension/flexion, upper arm adduction/abduction.  Allowing a 3rd action of "disengaged", you get at most 3**3 or 27 possibilities.  Just figure out which ones you need and don't need by the pictures.  It's pretty simple.

so do you set up with a severely flared out right foot at address to practice PA 1 unloading faster? I would assume it promotes more linear hips with PA 1 being able to unload faster.
