What do you mean? It was on Golf Channel from 12 to 2, then NBC from 2 to 6, for me at least. Golf Channel does sometimes cover a few hours before the network picks it up, but they don't (and aren't) broadcast the whole tournament. NBC and Golf Channel are now both owned by Comcast, so they are sort of collaborating now, but it was aired on NBC. For me at least.

In my bag:

It's been TGC 2 to 6 for me all evening. I think it's TGC at least, TGC logos and no Nick Faldo. I don't watch any of the channels directly though, I watch whatever my provider airs. It's usually TGC thursday and friday, then NBC on the weekend.

The problem is it works for Mahan. He also said Foley has one swing philosophy for both of them and that can be a problem. I agree with Miller to an extent here, This is an unusual swing for Tiger compared to how hes played all his life. Also like Miller and Butch said, if he doesnt do good come monday at that laidback golf thing (whatever it is, I havent looked it up yet), then its time for him to be concerned and looking elsewhere especially with the few crazy bad shots he has a round. I agree with Butch and Miller here.

Heck I would be able to implement a swing change pretty good after 8 months working full time as a pro and if it wasnt working by then, chances are its not best for your game, no matter how much geometry, science and facts you have.

Last time it took Tiger two years to perfect the swing change. Not been a year yet working with Foley. Not that it guaranteed will take two years, but things take time.

Yes, but he goes on about how Tiger shouldn't be changing to that type of swing? But then says it's a great swing.....obviously they're different, but Tiger is aiming to have a similar swing

It's amazing that no one has mentioned and but at the same time, it's because the golf industry analyzes the swing far too much.  The problem is clearly between of the ears of Tiger and goes far beyond any swing issues.  Think of what's going on in his head now based of everything that's happened.  Yes he was playing good golf and sleeping around but he was still able to play great golf because no one knew at the time but that's changed and he's clearly embarrassed by this.

The hell with going back to his old swing, he needs to go back to sleeping with lots of woman again!

Lovin my boy DJ in the lead.  Hope he can pull it out and get on a roll going into the Masters.

After having the same swing for 4 years? After hitting millions and millions of golf balls? You could just change to a new swing in 8 months?

Wow.....ok...sure....I don't think you realize how many golf balls and reps Tiger does.....EVERY DAY.....

It's all in Tiger's head at this point. He can repeat it all day on the range, but not take it to the course? Amateuers complain of that stuff, not Tiger. We can only speculate what's going through his head, but it's not good. I don't know why he feels convinced he has to change his release on his wedges and putter, those were never a problem for him before. I think we've overestimated his intelligence to be honest.

especially for a guy of Tigers ability, hes got a good grasp on the swing by now. It may not be perfect but we've got an idea of how hes going to play with this swing. I think its cool hes swinging this way, but in all honesty I dont think he should of switched swings because Haney left him, which is the reason why. He had no intentions of changing swings before Haney left.

That's simply not true. Tiger was "auditioning" new swing coaches long before he and Haney publicly split.

Sometimes I wish we could just have one GRAND UNIFIED TIGER THREAD for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall discussions about the man. But I guess it would contain about 50% of the total posts on the entire forum so ...

What do you guys think of this video clip about Tigers swing at wgc. Goes with what Miller, Butch etc are was saying with the problem with teaching a method to all players instead of working with their strengths

When they interviewed Butch he said it would be very telling to see how Tiger does in the Tavistock Cup because he knows the course so well and it will be a relaxing format. He also said that if he doesn't do well then he has a real problem. Well come on Butch, Tiger knows Doral better than anyone this week and has dominated here. I think he was putting it out there because something is up. Why else would he step into the booth and make that kind of comment. These guys know the questions beforehand so it just makes me wonder. I also noticed he had on a shirt and tie. Hmmmm.

Look at the top 15 - look at those names - why are people still talking about Tiger Woods? He's the latest victim of "paralysis by analysis". He need to do this. He needs to do that. No, he needs to hit the ball somewhere he can get an iron on it, then do something creative and sink a friggin' putt already. He used to be like Seve - never out of a hole. Now he's like the bad Seve. Can't get off the tee and painful to watch.

Dear NBC - please do us a favour and don't show us any more of this BS. At least not this weekend anway. You want so badly for the "young guns" to step up. They're doing it this weekend, now let these guys shine.

Is the grain really as big a factor as the announcer makes it out to be? Can't see a single shot on or around the green without hearing about the dark areas where the ground go this way and that way.

The grain is mostly a factor in putting into it on an uphill (slower) or away from it on a downhill (faster - downhill and down grain is like garage floor putting).  These greens are rolling 12s and the grain has a minimal effect on left/right direction if any.  The courses that I have seen grain be more influential on is late in the afternoon when they have been growing all day, but then again they are not 12s (more like 8s).

Don't remember if it had been said or not already, but Adam Scott's putter is crazy!!! I mean, not dogging the guy, whatever works for you I guess, but wow, that thing looks like it's 5 ft long!

P.S. Aaaaand Mahan is back in it now!! Off to a great start, already birdied his two opening holes. Playing like he really wants it.
