i would get a set of custom scratch irons. they are beautiful and allow you to fully customize almost everything.

I've always been a Cobra fan, so I'd have to stick with getting one of their new sets.

I would go with the Titleist 909 d2 with non stock shaft, would follow with the 909 fairway 3 wood with non stock shaft, not sure of the  Hybrids possibly Titliest 910h, not real sure about irons possible would try some GI Mizzuno's or possibly stick with Callaway and have better steel shafts put on X22s or some Razrs. Would try a Scotty Cameron Putter and would have a Sun Mountain 14 way stand bag. Would keep the Bridgestone e6's but would try some Pro V's out.

Money's no object, I'd own every set out there and try them all. Like Steve Elkington's garage.

What about you, pueblo? What would you put in the bag if money was no object?

For just a set of irons? here's 3 I would try out:

1) Those new Miura GI sticks

2) Ping Anser irons

3) Custom Scratch EZ-1's

if money werent an issue, I would try to hook up with muira and co design an iron set for myself and have him forge them for me. Im sure with enough money i could make this happen

I'd try Scratch and Miura before deciding.  At the moment, there's only one set I've tried that I like better than my MP-57s:  Nike's VR blades (last year's model).

I wouldn't change the current two sets of irons I play. Mizuno MP-67's and Miura Tournament Blades. I'm kind of bored with Drivers so happy with my old TM r7 CGB Max. My favourite club is my 3 wood, a Tour Edge Exotics XCG 3 with 13 deg loft. I really should use it more often off the tee. It's delightful though off the deck for second shots into par 5's.

You'd have more chance of making it happen if you spelt his name properly.

anyone on here try honma clubs? my dad has a 3star driver. I know they are crazy expensive. I don't know if I could afford them, but sure would like to try them out.

I would go with ap2 irons. maybe some mizuno's. and some project X shafts. flighted.

Thanks for asking Sean. I'd be satisfied with a set of Wilson Staff FG-62s as long as I could learn to hit them!

An excellent choice - a long history of championships and very simple and elegant design. I've owned quite a few sets of blades, representing most of the big brand names. The best "feeling" irons were and are my vintage Mizunos (hands down really) with Hogan and MacGregor being hit or miss depending on the vintage. When I tried to get into Wilson Staff blades, it was at a time when I was struggling with my swing, so I went another direction. The Mizunos really worked for me, but I think it was a coincidence, as I made the proper swing changes at about the same time.

Anyway, if money was no object, I'd probably stick with Cleveland. Their new tour blades really look (and feel) right to me. They're not the silkiest "feeling" (that would be something from Mizuno or Adams), but they go where I aim and I really like their grinds.

Good topic!!

+1 for Scratch and Miura with a slight edge to Scratch because of Don White and I would double up on irons 1-6 with both blades and cavities.  Not that I deserve these irons even if I had the "scratch"  multiple pun intended.

    • Day 45 (27 Dec 25) - played at one of the sisters courses to my home course.  Solid session through the bag….of the 7 pars, 4 were up and down 1 putts (wedges were dialed in) from 6’ or less.  Off the tee - solid, irons were consistent even it a bit under on distances.  Course management was on - stayed the course even with a few offline recovery shots required…
    • Day 453 - 2025-12-27 Two things today for about 48 balls (I like to hit three or six balls at a time before taking a small break to pick them up): Right leg stays flexed a bit, internal rotation on the backswing. Kept my eyes looking at the ball and trusted that the backswing was fine.
    • Day 137 12-27 Worked on wider backswing today and tried to remain flowy. Recorded face on and down the line. Swing is looking better but I mentally felt off today, just frustrated. Tomorrow's a new day!
    • Day 8 - 2025-12-27 45 minutes of short game work at local muni, mostly putting work. Trying to get lots of reps in with consistent quality tempo.
    • I guess I'll stay at -16 for this year's challenge.  I never birdied holes 7, 13 (the 2 hardest holes) in 2025.  Also had a couple Eagle putts on the par 5's, but didn't convert either time.  Looking forward to 2026, though!
