With ungodly TV viewing hours here stateside, how are you guys watching the Open? DVR? Streaming? Staying up all night with coffee/Mountain Dew/Redbull?

It's a difficult week for american golf fans...haha!

No way!  I love the Open because it comes on early.  I get up at 4 AM and workout.  I will be watching while working out.  Of all the golf tournaments, the Open has the best TV time--IMHO.

I only watch Sat/Sun because of work, but I will follow the leader board all day or find a stream or something.

Either ESPN or ESPN3.com. I won't get up any earlier than normal, but it is kind of nice to not have to wait until 8 pm to see a winner. I like when events fall in prime time (for the east coast of the U.S.), and I like it when events start in the morning, but I'm not a huge fan of events that are in the middle. Which, unfortunately, is 99% of the time.

I'm getting up to watch it.  Got up this am at 3:30 CST and watched most of Rory's round before heading off to work.  Dragged through most of today but will get to be at around 9pm tonight so I can get up at 3 again.

I don't watch soccer or other world sports so, for me, this and the Ryder Cup (when in Europe) is my big chance to feel like a "sports nut", lol.

Go to bed 9 pm every night and wake up at 4 am. That's exactly what I've done these first 2 days. I don't like watching taped stuff because I know it already happened and I can just look online at the leaderboard to see what happened, so I'm not going to miss any of it!

I just love the feeling of being up at 4 am, laying in my bed and watching golf! It's nice and quiet in the house, still dark out, and I'm a morning person so I love it! Doesn't get much better than that!

Haha they needed something to talk about/get all sentimental about.

It was great watching Tom Watson get an ace live @ some ungodly time in the morning (I had to celebrate quietly as to not wake up anyone).

I made the same mistake as I did last year. I watched the ESPN ESPN3 stream. ESPN3 also makes the BBC coverage available. Much much better. American coverage is full of not golf. BBC shows more golf.

BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN BBC > ESPN

I wanted to stream to the ESPN app on my 360, because that's the only way for me to get HD, but it's a good 2 or 3 minutes behind live coverage.

    • Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.
    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
    • Not sure this is the best thread but, if the rain holds off, today is my 1st round of the year.  Getting ready I can not find my Shot Scope.  I guess I put it away too well for the winter and thus that is may "Winter Depression".  I'm sure I put it somewhere that made sense at the time.
