I don't need the honorary doctorate It is not that severe but can be at times. I was going by your brief synopsis of your injury.

Severity is a relative term. Some people have a higher pain threshold. If you've been lifting, I suspect you have a higher threshold for pain.

Perhaps. I'm just going by past rib injury experience....painful haha.

Just contacted a Chiropractor, gonna see if my insurance covers it.

I have decided to do all three of my main lifts (squat, deadlift,0 bench) on the same day every 5 days and then do assistance work on the other

days. I did the deadlift the other day so I did squats and bench today. My weights are low because I am in the 1st week of cycle 1 of the 531.

Bench

85x5x1

95x5x1

115x8x1

Squat

95x5x1

115x5x1

135x8x1

Chiropractor appt tomorrow at 10. We'll see if you're right haha.

Never been to one before, not sure what to expect. Fortunately my insurance covers it...but it says 90% after deductible. Which is worthless since my deductible is like $1,600 lol

I have been to several Chiropractors in my life. I believe there are two types. Good and bad. The good one will diagnose you problems and have a plan to

correct them in 1 to 3 visits and tell you to return when if your problem reoccur. He will also tell you if he cannot fix it with his skills.

The bad will diagnose your problems and set you up on a program where you will be coming in for an adjustment a couple times a week for the

rest of your life. No kidding I got hook into one of those plans once. Too much cracking of the back loosen your joint connections and is not good.

Good luck. It is a crap shoot as to which one you find.

Yeah, I've heard about that. I'm gonna be up front in saying I'm not coming twice a month for the rest of my life...I'll just live with the pain before I let that happen lol

Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong. Facts are that you can decide how often you want to go and there is nothing wrong with multiple adjustments, no damage occurs with proper technique. You don't need them daily the rest of your life but consistency heals faster. This case should not need much since he is active but it depends on a few factors besides this. Effectiveness of the doctor and patient compliance are big in treatment. I agree that there are some guys out there that use a cookie cutter treatment plan and I doubt you need this. Simple fact is that your body gets continually stressed and you will be able to tell the difference of what is working and what isn't. I always say, once you know what helps, why not keep using it when you need it.

I've heard his story from multiple people. In fact, my roommate just told me pretty much the same thing.

Yep. It's a story.

It's not an unbelievable story. I can buy it...just like any other profession. I wouldn't doubt similar stories about medical doctors, attorneys, mechanics, contractors...etc.,

There are good ones, and bad ones.

You wouldn't happen to be a chiropractor, would you? ;-)

Kept on track all week.  Still struggling to get as much water as I need to.  Hoping I can stick to it this week - on the road, in a hotel.

Then 5x5 power cleans at 115

5x10 bent over rows 115

Crazy 8's, 65lbs

Warmed up. Did some stretches.  Then I Christmas shopped for 2 1/2 hours.  Feel the burn.

Be careful...you don't want to pull something.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
