Thanks Lihu. I think we're pretty lucky out here.

They just built a new links course in Cape Breton, NS, called Cabot Links. If you haven't heard of it, check out www.cabotlinks.com. It looks like a great track.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Haha, great reaction. They're building the second course (Cabot Cliffs) right now. You may want to hold off until it's built. Supposed to be even better.

Dubbed one of the hardest par 3's in the UK...

174 from the tips, narrow shot to a semi island green with water front right and a small lake surrounding behind and to the left of the green and water in front of you.

I almost had to do a double take because the above hole reminds me of the 8th hole at Adams Pointe Golf club near Kansas City........

The par3 8th hole plays 240yds from the tips!!

This hole has a forced carry almost all the way to the green, and there is nowhere to bail left or right!!

Installing drains in the greens. Been doing it for three years now and this is the second to last one. It is amazing what it has done for the health of the greens, especially greens that are over 100 years old. The difference in turf health has been amazing, and the greens can be kept faster on a regular basis.

We'll be playing on this green tomorrow.

Just took this one at Diamante Dunes in Cabo San Lucas a couple weeks ago. #15 is on the right and 17 is on the left.

Also took this one last month as well. This is #17 at Bandon Trails:

My apologies if this doesn't work.  I'm on my third post and still figuring this forum out ...

I'll post a picture of one picture of one of my trophy courses, and one of my local courses.

This is #5 at Bethpage - Black, from the tee.  That hill you have to climb on the approach is steeper than you think, and if the pin is on the left, you better be comfortable playing a high draw.

... and #18 at Sleepy Hole Golf Course.  Great municipal course directly on the Nansemond River in Suffolk, VA.  This course was brought back from the dead about 8 or 9 years ago.  Used to host an LPGA event, but fell into disrepair.  Revitalizing the OBICI House (now the clubhouse - the white building in the shot) was just the cherry on top.

Playing this course next week, can't wait for another trip around it, Ballybunion Links in Ireland...this is a picture I took back in March, it doesn't do it any justice.

I'm expecting the skies to be a lot darker for this round. Golfing in Ireland, in December..... only for the brave (or stupid)

And another from the same day, the reverse saucer green....

Hey - if the course is open and green, I don't think it would be considered to be stupid at all! Have a great trip. I'd love to get there some day.
