That was how it was at the Honda. Yesterday, on hole 5 when I took the picture I was very discreet and was only one of about 15 people on that hole because it's one of the farthest from the clubhouse. There wasn't even a Marshall, but I was still sneaky and held it low and took a couple just to get those exclusives for the SandTrappers, lol.  I really didn't see anyone talking, but there was texting and checking of scores, but no one being a dink.

This! When Bubba gets it going it's like a clinic out there. Great display of golf going on right now.



Yesterday, I took my son (his first tournament) and after we watched Bubba and Justin shoot 18 under I told him that you don't see that everyday live, or even on TV. It was a real duel. Today it looks like Bubba is keeping it going.

You were near the ropes when he hit his second in to 8? I bet that ball just hissed past you...in a really awesome way.

Yes, he had us move off the ropes about 15 feet and he hit that low hook. It sounded like it was so close you could grab it. It was a bullet.

There is a little breeze @10 mph which has little effect on these guys. Tomorrow looks like 15+.

I missed the slow motion of Bubba Watson hitting driver high off the face through the rough. Darn it! One day, archives will be streamable. I'll be long gone before that happens.

Pounded it. Tiger hasn't birdied 18 in 6 years. That's a tough hole and a nice way to finish.

Okay...Most have disagreed with me in the past when I have said that courses play easier for pros...given the TV towers and grandstands and the holes being lined with spectators to block balls from going in water, out of bounds etc..  But the break Bubba just got was unbelievable!!!  That would have maybe flew into the water in the air if it didn't land in the camera tower and roll down the steps.  I just want to play one round in these conditions.  That being said could you guys all meet me at Doral tomorrow?  And bring a few friends if you can..  I want to have a "Tiger" size gallery.  I will even sign gloves when I knock one off your knee cap.  8am work for you?

Not sure if you play it or not, but in the new Tiger Woods PGATOUR13 video game, you can choose that above view and it looks exactly like that...and exactly like Tiger's swing.  It's pretty sweet

It's a very easy course for the pros with no wind. Witness Bubba hitting Driver/Chip shot on a bunch of the par 4s.

Anyone know what irons Bubba is using? They have no branding on them and I have never seen them before.

Last time I saw his bag, I know he was using custom S59's.  I remember this because there were a lot of questions raised because the S59's didn't have conforming grooves for this year.  Bubba wanted to continue to game the S59's, so Ping made him S59's with conforming grooves.

Yeah they look like custom S59's with no branding and are different colors.  As I am sure a lot of you know, a lot of players use older clubs that have been modified or prototypes of new designs made specific for them. Years back, before Tiger had his TW blades etc.. and was still Nike/Titleist he was using this set of blades that didn't have anything on them.  I think they were titleist blades without the brand name just to make Nike happy. ...or they were Mizunos, which is all Nike clubs used to be. At least that was the rumor.

In this picture from today, they look like the same style S59's he played last year (pictured below).  They have branding if you look at them closely.

They're ping irons, custom fit just for Bubba. Haven't you seen the commercial?
