I would say you are definitely alone on that one.......the hat is probably the worst though.  Looks 2 sizes too big and I can not stomach a flat brim!

Daly, but he makes golf interesting.

I do not mind the colors Fowler wears, but his solid orange on Sundays looks stupid...especially with his ridiculous mustache.  God, if I were his girlfriend, I would wax it off in the middle of the night.

Worst-dressed golfers...

1) a retired plumber I golf with from time to time - blue jeans, stained New Balance cross-trainer shoes, and Kohl's collarless designer t-shirt.

2) the fella I got paired up with in Florida in the stained Khaki shorts, over-the-calf white socks, and table-cloth checkered shirt

3) anyone who sports Ohio State team logos

Zach Johnson - Those plaid collars look ridiculous.  It looks like something that would have been worn in the 1990s

Matt Kuchar - When he wears the light blue shirt and the lime green hat, he looks like he got dressed in the dark.

Ryan Moore - Looks like a homeless hipster who gets dressed in the dumpster behind the coffehouse he panhandles.

Have you seen his girlfriend? She's having hard time looking like she hit puberty too.

Hahaha!!! You're obviously watching right now. Kutcher has the weird blue shirt, green hat thing going in the 3rd round. It looks like he doesn't know it looks bad, or else he doesn't care. Either way, he looks like he got dressed in the dark. What happened to Moore? He used to be stylin' with the vests and ties (weird). But you're right, he basically looks like a hobo these days.

I'm thinking that Ogilvy's clothes are probably a reaction against the over the top clothes of some of the players. It's like he's deliberately playing it down and not trying to make a spectacle of himself, possibly even having a bit of a dig at some of the others in a subtle way.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I actually like Rickie's outfits. I would never dess myself that way though. Here's my top 3: 1. John Daly. Between the hair and the clothes, he looks ridiculous. 2. Matt Kuchar. Bland and mismatched hats. 3. Ryan Moore. The style is okay but I don't think he can pull it off.

My only issue with "dress" this tourney as to why I ONLY saw one golfer NOT wear pink, or wear a pink ribbon as requested by the PGA to support Mother's Day and Breast Cancer awareness.... Guess who that ONE person was, and why the media failed to take notice of it or mention it.... hmmmm

I can't believe no-one's mentioned Duffy Waldorf.

I'm usually oblivious to fashion but he always has me shaking my head in disbelief.

I would mention Ai Miyazato and those kneesocks but I understand they're functional - she has circulation problems or something.  So like Sabbatini's hat (he's had skin cancer), she gets a pass.

I agree that the only reason the golfer was not criticized by the media is because he is The Lord and Saviour Tiger Woods.

But I'm not sure how wearing pink supports Mother's Day. And I'm fairly certain most people are aware of breast cancer by this point, and further "awareness" does nothing to assist in its medical treatement. But if you want to buy into the corporate mentality that the only way to support these causes is to be a docile little consumer ***** and deck out in all pink, go right ahead.

The irony is that the way Sabbatini's hat is curled up on the sides, it covers less of his face than a larger baseball cap like the ones currently worn by Adam Scott, Mahan, Fowler, or McIlroy (different shapes but all more effective than Sabbatini's).

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
