I have a degree in Turf Management from NC State, and I know what grass is supposed to look like. Those greens are being maintained right on the edge. They almost look like they have gone dormant. It is a good thing they are bermuda. After the tournament, the will raise the mowing height, fertilize & probably punch them. Bermuda has good recovery properties. If they were Bentgrass, they would most likely be gone. It is common practice to reduce fertility practices prior to tournaments. This reduces the size of the leaf blade and adds smoothness and speed to the greens. The greens at tournaments usually do look different than everyday greens, but I don't think I have ever seen greens be this off color.

The live feed/blog over at Golf.com is cracking me up.  So many people hating on the blogger and Tiger.

Nice moves by Woods, Fowler and Simpson to get themselves within the cut line (or better) with a handful of holes left.  John Hug has shown good resilience a few times recently, bouncing back with a 66 today after an early triple yesterday that lead to a 75.

Seems hard to put 2 good rounds in a row...of the 15 posted scores in the 60s so far today, none were from the 27 who broke 70 yesterday...Kuchar is the only one on the course in solid position to back up his 68 standing -4 thru 14.

Aha, very interesting. I was wondering why they look brown. And the different patch colors look weird too.

I guess they want them to get a lot faster for the weekend.

FWIW, Tiger switched shoes on the 6th hole. I wasn't watching, so I don't know from what to what, but... that's it.

Broken shoelace is what I heard.

A couple holes before that, he hit a full shot from a very awkward lie, and lost his balance afterward, dancing around on a steep sidehill. When I saw him switching shoes, I thought it was Doral all over again. They did say it was a shoelace, but you never know with Tiger. I haven't seen any signs of a limp, though, so I guess sometimes a shoelace is just a shoelace.

what a freak 3 iron bullet there from Tiger, shame I could only watch the last 15 minutes

The camera angle on Woods' stinger, the one he hooked into the pine straw. Love seeing that point of view.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

It was a cool shot. I initially thought he topped it something horrible because of the angle.

Seriously think that the PGA Tour needs to do something about this.  It's getting ridiculous.

Fowler is stomping a mudhole in Sawgrass right now. -3 thru 5.   Two in a row? That would shut some folks up.

Fowler playing unbelievable golf today, good to see that he can carry on the momentum of his first win.

Did anyone just see Na tee off?  He did the same thing he did yesterday on 18 tee, bunch of waggles and then backs off.  Dude has some issues

The old man behind him holding his hands over his head almost has a heart attack in the process, hilarious

    • Day 314 - Putting some things together. Better grip/setup, fuller backswing, better finishing position. Filmed some swings, happy with the progress.
    • Day 130: did a stack session.
    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
