If you could carry and game a 15th club, what would it be and why?......... I personally would carry an extra 60 degree lob wedge .....but in lefty (I'm RT handed).....just in case i got hammered against a collar of a bunker that i couldnt get to rt handed

Driver: Adams 9064ld 6.5* w/ Oban Devotion 7 .... 281 cpm at 44"
Fairway Wood: Tour Edge xcg 4 3 wood w/ rapport blue velvet shaft

hybrid: Tour Edge Exotics cg4 17* 2 hybrid
Irons: Miura series 1957 "baby blades" w/ KBS tour shafts
Wedges: Miura: 52* wedge, 56* K grind, 59* Y grind
Putter: taylormade white smoke 35"

I too would carry something for one specific purpose, maybe a chipper or a 52 inch driver or a belly putter or something along those lines.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

A left handed 8 iron. Because being 6 inches from a tree on the right side... well. You know.

a second putter, so that my starting putter would know that if it misbehaved in any manner it would be summarily replaced.

Dont know...I currently carry 13 because I can't really figure what I need for a 14th.  I'm hitting my 58* so well right now as a lob that I traded my lob wedge in.  I just can't come up with a 14th so I don't

I carry three wedges and I can turn a 7 iron around and hit it lefty ... so I would go with a 4 hybrid as out of the rough it would be another option.  I play a 4 iron because I still like it on par 3's ...

I'm fairly content with my setup, but I suppose if I took a 15th club, it'd probably be a 64* wedge.

Ya I dont really have any complaints. Right now I have driver, 3wood, 2 hybrid, 3 iron 5 iron so maybe i could throw my 4 back in but so far no complaints. I just hit my 3 iron a little bit straight if im trying to get that distance down 10 yards :) maybe a 64 for shits and gigs but i already carry pitch 52 56 60 so i feel it would be over kill. maybe a 4 hybrid or something along those lines

A left handed hybrid.  I'm right handed and use my hybrid for a variety of shots around the green, low punch from 150, and the normal.  I would love to have a left handed one for those just in case scenarios.  I was actually in one of those over the weekend and thought about how nice it would be to have a left handed club.

I would have to find a 14th club first.  I have a 2-iron (replaced with a hybrid), a 53 gap wedge (too close to my SW to fill the gap properly), and a 60 lob wedge (caused more problems than it solved) all sitting in the garage not getting used.

My 14th will eventually be a "proper" gap wedge ... 50-51 degrees or so.  After that, I don't know of anything that could possibly help more than it would hurt (i.e., one iron or 60 degree wedge)

So I guess I would agree that a left handed club (I'm thinking 7-iron) would be useful on rare occasions.  (Surprised nobody has answered with the proverbial chainsaw or weed whacker yet)

I'd probably carry around an extra wedge, either something between pitching and sand or a 64*. I currently don't have a 52* or anything around because the gap between my Eye 2 PW and Tour-S Rustique wedge is only slightly larger than any other gap, but I might drop my 2 iron hybrid for it, as the gap between that and my 3 wood is fairly nominal (and I seem to never hit it, in all of the various tournaments I've been too I've used it only twice). Is it better, do you think then, for me to buy a gap wedge to match my others and drop the 17*?

Something left handed. Maybe a 7 iron or so..... Easier than turning a wedge upside down for that one time a year you need to do that.... Honestly though, 14 is more than enough.

I am torn between a rescue hybrid or a 2 iron. I don't hit my #4 fairway wood very well, so a 2 iron would be nice. I have a hybrid in my bag now but am replacing it with a 3 iron, just because I hit irons so much bteter than anything else.

I would have never thought about it...I'm not a great golfer but I've been able to get rid of my 3 hybrid and 52degree, I just never seem to use them and carrying clubs, I wanna get it light! I'm down to 11 clubs now but I love the idea of adding a left handed club for that bizarre situation!

    • Day 252: worked on chipping for a while with my chipping net. Worked on low, medium, and high shots. Productive session.
    • Day 180 - 2025-03-29 Not a long time today, but I got my five minutes in jumping and doing some work on the downswing.
    • I’ll just stick to the basics for now - got enough to work on… this is my home practice range. The little clearing in about the center of the photo is roughly 200 yards.

    • Played Musgrove Mill today. 72.3/155. +9 for 15 official holes as 2 holes are closed, and the par 5 16th plays as a converted par 3. We played the first three holes over to finish 18, and parred 1 and2 amped bogeyed 3. The good: hit every fairway. 1 less than normal for the converted par 3, but the second time I have done that this year. My sand wedge approach on 10 after a monster drive hit the pin in the back left corner hit he pin and spun away to 9’, and I missed the putt.   The great: hit 8 GIR and 7 were inside 10’. Needs work: Missed every birdie putt. No lip-outs. Just struggled on fast greens. Three-putted the par-5 9th with the pin on the back tier and jut missed hitting my approach to the proper level and it spun all the way to the front of the green.
