Yeah, I know what you mean. I try to overlook it and not be judgemental. I know I can often make the same errors when typing fast and just streaming my point across. They're easy mistakes to make when you're rushing.

Then again, I pretty much always proof read before posting.

Says the guy who uses "wanna" and dash instead of a comma!
But you do score points for alliteration!

Wala?

Maybe don't use words if you don't know how to spell them.

Then he should have capitalized it, otherwise he'd still be eligible for this thread. :-)

There's no such thing. :-) It's voilà. But hey, if hukt on fonikz werkd for yoo, kool.

Generally speaking (to nobody here), I'd think people would want to improve their writing. If someone types "you're" when "your" is the correct word, people judge them as dumber than they may be. If you send an email to your boss and it's full of grammatical and spelling mistakes, you might very well be fired.

On one hand, the point of communication is to be understood, but on the other… you don't want to come off as a dumbass, either. We all make typos or go back to edit a sentence without realizing you've now messed up the grammar, or type in a hurry from time to time, but that's entirely different than some other situations where you're just making a dumb mistake, especially when it's one you could learn not to make in the future.

"Wala" was basically a written sound effect at best. It was not meant to be any particular word. I do however understand the need for proper grammar. It was not intended to be a word in this case but I will be sure to use "voilà" next time to avoid scrutiny.

Part of the problem is that upper management and account executives in Corporate America are often the worst offenders. Some of these folks have MBA's but little regard to the importance of appearing professional. A lot of it is probably due to the increased use of phones for correspondence. Everyone is simply becoming accustomed to it. I'm going to sound old, but that shit wouldn't have been well received 20 years ago.

So when I see a typo or incorrect punctuation on a forum, it's not that big of a deal (unless I typed it).

I can't find it, but I'm certain there's at least one in this post.

    • They could do that, but then it could then be absurdly low spinning off the tee. Think the LSDR from TaylorMade years ago. If you hit up at all, you could get like 500 rpm drives. There were issues with the ball just dying because it had no spin.  I also question if it will interfere with the yardage between the driver and the mini-driver. 3-woods, you can get them out there near a driver. With this being more like a driver, would there big a huge gap between the mini-driver and a 5-wood or long iron?  I don't know. I guess if you don't really use your 3-wood that much, findings something you would use 3-4x more often might be useful instead of having a club you never use. I've thought about taking the 3-wood out of my bag for a while. I hardly use it.  Hey, I am sure some will find it useful. I am not going to spend probably $500 dollars for a mini driver. Their 3-wood is around $400, and the driver is at $625. So, I would think this being a niche product would probably split the difference.

    • I'm just guessing here. But couldn't Titleist build a mini-driver with a very low center of gravity? Then it would work off the deck. The deep face wouldn't be as problematic.  I'm just spit-balling. I know nothing about this product.
