Schwartzel I think. The last one was the worst, he tried to knock in a 3 footer with the back of his putter after missing two 2 footers.

Yes, but I would call it more of a mental meltdown...he really didn`t take his time after missing his first putt from about 2 feet...to try a backhander with the putter he had showed he was really too pissed to care...He barely paused long enough to let the ball stop rolling...I guess having 3 doubles on the day might do that to you...

He is on the bubble to get into next week currently projected at 68, so a shot or two could definitely be costly for him.

he wanted to get off that green so bad..each time he was trying to pick his ball up before it even stopped moving.

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Yeah I'm aware he was unable to really keep his cool and just focus on the individual putt(s). It was like watching one of my friends out on the  green unable to read a putt and just hitting it until it goes it. Unprofessional really.

Here's the video in case anybody wanted to watch.

Oof. He was looking at a nearly tap-in birdie. And par. And bogey.

It reminds me of the video I saw posted on this forum about the top 10 meltdowns in golf or something.  There was a guy who (from memory) took something like a 6-putt from 8 feet, and maybe a few penalty strokes.  He completely melted down on that green.  Charl was on the verge of that.

Edit: here is the video.  He is #7.  It was a 6-putt, but no penalty stroke (I thought I remembered him putting it once before the ball came to a complete stop).

Anyway, Louis' front 9 was among the most fun I've had watching a golf tournament.  Having said that, I hope there is some drama in the finish tomorrow.  Looking forward to it.

Lastly, it is just me, or do you guys think The Golf Network and it's affiliates are pulling for DJ to be picked for the Ryder Cup team?  From my perspective (and this is coming from somebody who is also rooting for DJ to make the team as he is one of my favorites), they continued to mention that he is among the likely frontrunners to be picked every single time he was on camera, and they showed him a lot (for good reason).  They mentioned it with Snedeker and Mahan a few times (and Furyk yesterday), but not nearly as much as with DJ.  It almost appeared to me as if they figured ratings would be higher with a big bomber like DJ among the competitors.

Have you guys not woken up yet or are you just waiting for the last two groups to tee off?  Lazy bums.

Don't appear to be too many low scores today.

Tiger's in one of the Faxon-added bunkers on two, but still a chance to get up-and-down for birdie. EDIT: Or not.

If tiger gave himself any chance on these par 5s that everyone else is feasting on he would be right there in the lead

Louis's tee ball on five was wayyyyyy left. Holy crap it was left. Also, Johnny Miller just mentioned grain.

Rory just dropped his club in his follow-through. BAN HIM FROM AUGUSTA! Also, Johnny Miller just said that Rory can turn the club over while the ball is on the clubface.

Miller just said you have to hold the face square at impact for an inch. Not sure if he meant what feels like an inch or literally an inch.
