I can't either. But my SW sucks. I took it out of my bag lol

On a full swing, my 52 goes 112 exactly. So I just swing that 12 yards less. :D

Remember that people have different clubs.  I call my 54* wedge my SW.  Others might have a 52* or 56*

And mine is a 55, I can see how it can be confusing to just say "SW".

A little over a half pitching wedge. I can hit my 56 100 yards, but the pitching wedge shot is so more consistent. I used hit my 50 degree when I was between 90-110, but I like the PW more.

lol.

My SW is 56*.  Honestly I used to use my 52* as a full swing for anything from 95-110 or so.  But lately I'm just as likely to hit it chunky, or--because I flip at the ball (see my sig)--it only goes 90 and I end up in the front bunker hoping to save par when I was hoping for birdie.  So lately I've been hitting feel shots with my PW (47*).  100-110 yards or so is just about my worst distance (next would be 215-225), so I try and avoid it as much as possible.

I think my swing is de-lofting my clubs these days, 58 degree for a 100 yard shot...no roll. Or a little 53 degree wedge, but then I risk taking it too far. I need a 56.

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.

OK unfortunately I found that my sw actually is longer than 100 tonight in league. Flew it 110 to a rock hard green no chance at stopping it.

Today I was playing so poorly that if I was 100 yards away I just hit a long putt like stroke with a 5 iron. Was working better than anything else. :/

This is me almost to a "T", except my GW is 51°.  I can hit it 95-100, but that takes a full swing, and I like to max my wedges at about a 3/4 swing.

Oh nice. Yeah again today I tried hitting a 105 yard shot with my 52 and came up short just because I don't give it a full swing by default. Should've known better lol.

I'm at full sweeper swing  with my 52 vokey KBS wedge flex, same for my 50 deg 588 w NS 950, med bounce... I'd be at full power swing with my 56 SM4 vokey with KBS tour shaft, hi bounce. I had this shot last night. i was using an older 250.08 vokey low bounce,TTDG wedge flex, full power swing and did 98 yards...missed the 6 foot putt....arrggghhh!

Full 56.

If into the wind or uphill I'll step on it a little.

If wind behind or downhill I'll take a smidge off.

Even par through 9 is my best.  I don't even want to think about what was my worst.

My "go-to" shot in that situation is a low punch three quarter pitching wedge.

The most difficult distance in golf is the six inches between your ears.

I tried hitting my 56 on a 100yd shot yesterday, tried about 5 times and I just couldn't make it there. Furthest I got it was around 80.

    • I've been thinking about buying a hitting mat for home indoors use. I currently only got a small patch of some mat I bought years ago and stand on a wooden platform. It'd be nice having a mat to stand on and hit from. After some searching, I see Fiberbuilt often being praised. Not sure if I can get hold of it easily here, and buying internationally can get expensive for a mat that's already quite pricey (~$800). The Wittek Quattro is also usually favorably mentioned, and at half the price (~$400) of the Fiberbuilt. Anyone have experince with this mat? Any other suggestions?
    • It just occurred to me that the last time I was serious about golf, my woods were made of….wood! Also interestingly (to me anyway) as I shopped for “woods”, mostly on eBay, I found that all the clubs in really nice cosmetic/aesthetic shape (good finish, nice club face, good grip) were woman’s clubs. Seems they either take really good care of them or don’t use them much.    And lastly, for now anyway, I went to a range today that has Top Tracer monitors at all the stations - another “new” development that may have been around for quite a while, but this was a first for me. I found it useful although I’m sure I only scratched the surface of its capabilities.
    • Agreed. For me, the feel was introduced to get the arms moving down from the top. It wasn't necessarily a "get it in front of the hip" explanation as the correct position but more for an exaggerated feel to get rid of the earlier issue.
