haha.  its totally strange.

According to Tuiasosopo's lawyer...

“Come on, Hollywood does it all the time,” Grimes said Wednesday. “People can do that.”
Tuiasosopo’s résumé includes vocal and dramatic training. He was president of his high school drama club, performs with a Christian band and auditioned last year for the TV talent show “The Voice.”

And the hits keep on coming.  Tuiasosopo fell in love with Te'o.

Quote:

In an interview with Dr. Phil scheduled to air Thursday and Friday, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the mastermind of the hoax that ensnared Te'o for several years, spoke publicly for the first time about a story that has captured national attention and admitted that he fell "deeply, romantically in love" with Te'o over the course of the scam.

"I asked him, straight up, was this a romantic relationship with you?" Dr. Phil McGraw said on NBC's Today . "And he says, 'yes.' I then said, are you then, therefore, gay? He says, 'Well, when you put it that way, yes.' And then, he caught himself and said, 'I am confused.'"

However, Tuiasosopo emphatically denied that Te'o was in any way involved with the scam. He noted that while Te'o and "Lennay Kekua" would "break up," Tuiasosopo himself would find a way to reunite them: "There were many times where Manti and Lennay had broken up, but something would bring them back together, whether it was something going on in his life or in Lennay's life, in this case in my life."

Tuiasosopo still contends that it's his voice on the famous voicemail recordings, not a cousin. That may be the only mystery still left in this story, one which has now reached its natural end.

The sad part is I bet Te'o is all types of happy this dude fell in love with him because he is now officially off the hook and draft status won't take a huge knock.

I also heard the VM on Rome and it did definitely sound like a girl to me...

I've never heard of a player being dramatically shifted in draft position due to his intelligence.

Claiborne scored a 4/50 and still went 6 overall.

Don't laugh, but on the phone, that is really easy for me to believe.  I used to take solicitors phone calls at my parents house during high school/college and having them ask me if my husband was home.

I'm glad I could brighten your day!

The only reason it probably doesn't continue to happen is because of caller ID.  Plus, I think callers aren't discriminatory anymore, and don't need to speak to "the man of the house."

He's supposed to do the "voice" tomorrow on Dr. Phil.  It's sad that this and deer antler spray are the biggest stories in sports during Super Bowl week.

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
