now that I think about it, it was a bonehead move to get up there - I read on a PGA website that his jump was 8 ft (I thought it was less)....but if he fractures an ankle (ala JB Holmes), he's out for quite awhile.

In case you hadn't made the observation, Sergio has that Latin temperament by which his emotions often seem to overrule his intellect.  That isn't the first poor decision he's been known to make when he gets upset.

Are they going to cover the final round on the golf channel? I'm trying to DVR it and I'm only seeing "morning drive" and the "tavistock cup, day 1".

Woods looking shaky off the tee but flawless with the putter and very solid with the irons. If he doesn't hit it behind more trees/in the water he should be tough to catch. Solid play by Fowler, will be interesting if he or Rose get within 2.

The players who aren't at Bay Hill are going to play, but the actual Cup is tomorrow. See here: http://www.tavistockcup.com/

Tiger looks like he is just playing for par.

With his three birdies, I want to disagree a bit, but sure, he's not taking huge risks. He just have to make sure he's not making mistakes and throw in a birdie here and there.

Yeah I turned it on and he had already reached -3.  And I've seen him make nothing but pars and one bogey.

In other news... Ken Duke's back to back bogeys - and the horrid putting he had on display on both.  Looked like he took a page out of my notebook.

    • I've yet to see or meet anyone with one,
    • I never have and never will subject myself to that. Speaking of hydration though, Thursday I will drink myself around EPCOT, clock-wise of course, then hop on a plane to the Philippines. I will be well hydrated,
    • Day 17:  Practiced with my pitching wedge today.  I haven’t been officially coached on it, but my son has tried to teach me (he’s very good with them) and I just cannot get a hang of his method.  I have a ridiculous move that works quite well for me but I probably shouldn’t get into any bad habits.
    • Day 566, May 21, 2024 Six-iron swings in the back yard. Felt good. It's hot here, though.
    • Yep. It’s easy to get distracted during the day and hardly drink any water. Our bodies do not have a good systems to warn us early enough. Some tips I like. Drink 16+ ounces of water when you wake up. The body can lose 1-2 lbs of water weight overnight. You are already in the red. If you know you are going to work out, or even walking 9 holes of golf. Drink water before hand and during the exertion. I was curious once, I did a 40 ish minute workout and I lost about 5 lbs of water weight. That is 80 ounces of water I need to replenish. Now I try to drink 24-36 ounces beforehand.  Aim for half an ounce of fluid, per pound of bodyweight, per day. Note, this is baseline not taking into account exercise or strenuous activity. Also, if you eat non processed foods, you can get a good amount through diet. If you eat processed foods, you need to drink more during the day.
