The online coverage from the pga is completely clutch. Have had it on one of my screens at work all day and the hours are just flying by haha. Got to watch all of Tiger's round this morning and he looks pretty sharp. Another 67 and he definitely left some strokes out there. He'll be in the conversation on Sunday for sure.

Not unexpected. Nerves? I don't know - how many times have you seen a player follow up a very low round with a miserable one? Seems to happen on a regular basis on tour.

Took a few videos during practice round on Tuesday pm. I'm always interested in short game shots. Great time watching the pros again - will be my last PGA event to attend until possibly the Tour Championship @ East Lake.

So it looks like the cuts at E, which leaves Mickelson, Singh, Watney, Rose, Poulter heading for the exits.

Also likely heading home: Graeme McDowell, Ernie Els.

Playing with fire: Fowler, Furyk, Horschel, Van Pelt, B. Watson, K. Bradley, Oosthuizen, Points, Huh

Anyone know if Vijay got heckled at the Player's for his lawsuit? Don't know if what he did by filing that lawsuit was enough to merit it, but just curious.

After an openning 76, Horschel got himself back to even going into 18, but a 7 there puts the longest consecutive cut streak on tour to an end- it looks like that now belongs to Jimmy Walker at 22 straight.  I misinterpreted your "playing with fire" initially thinking you were meaning some hot golf as Horschel did have a -5 stretch from 6 to 16, but not see you were referring to being near the cut line.

Looks like Bubba, Van Pelt, Points, Huh and Oosthuizen made it but Bradley, Fowler, and Furyk missed,

In total, it looks like 20 or the projected top 30 Fed Ex will be playing the weekend (meaning 1/3 of the top players this year missed the cut)

Didn't seem like it on Thursday.  The announcers kept mentioning he was getting indifferent reception from the gallery/crowd.

How do you come about an observation like "F*** he's good"? What about Sergio? What about the rest of the guys that are -9, -8?

Are they terrible?

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
