Mallory won last week's Symetra event, which is quite an achievement: http://www.symetratour.com/golf/tournaments/symetra/symetra-classic/full-results.aspx (Emily 2nd!) Emily played in this week's LPGA event, courtesy of winning BBNFL. Unfortunately, she missed the cut by 4 strokes: http://www.lpgascoring.com/public/Leaderboard.aspx

Well Sanchez isnt starting very well at Memphis.  If they posted his scores correct he started on 10 with a bogey and the par 3 11th he took a quad.  Lets hope for a better finish, really liked him with team Rice.

+13 through 14 holes.... not looking too good. I also like him and hope this doesn't burn his confidence...

Anybody know how to find his handicap online?  I looked up "Isaac Sanchez" on NCGA and some guy with a 13.7 handicap showed up.

Funny, the only guy I found had a 14.5.  Incidentally, he's from Fig Garden GC in Fresno, which was basically my home course growing up.

It's entirely likely he just doesn't bother to keep a handicap since they serve little purpose for professionals.

Pros don't have handicaps.

Some do, Phil Mickelson has one at a course in Arizona, along with a couple other PGA tour players. Most don't have them though, just because they never play net rounds when they compete for gross.

    • I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.
    • LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.
    • As long as "in town" means a drive of less than an hour, I'd probably go.  I've never actually been to a pro golf event, so it would be a novelty. Presumably, they'd be playing on a course that I'm not normally allowed to visit, so there would be an interest in just going to see the place. My tolerance for traffic is pretty minimal, so if massive headaches are predicted it would dampen my enthusiasm.
    • I would definitely buy tickets and go watch a round or two.
