Do you play brand matching equipment or a mixture ??

I've noticed alot of guys are brand loyal.    I am such a gear ho - trying new clubs all the time - I usually go for the couple year old gear at huge discounts.     Look at my signature - bet nobody has more mis-matched equipment that me !!

My driver, 3 and 5 woods are Cobra with my irons Adams. My sand wedge is a Callaway. They work for me.

I'll use anything that works, although I have been using TaylorMade drivers pretty exclusively for a long time. I will probably re-think that this offseason, as my driving has been the pits this year.

My brother is at Titleist getting fitted for new clubs. He offered to give me his D3, 3 wood, AP2 irons, and Vokey wedges. I will still have my TMAG putter. IMO, the only clubs that need to match are the irons. Wedges should only be one brand as well. woods don't need to be the same brand and chose whatever putter you like.

Did not start off with one brand, and don't really care what the brand is if it fits my game I will play it.

With that said what I found after I got my Ping G25 irons and really liking the swing weight and feel, I started trying there drivers, woods and hybrids.

So I have slowly changed out what I had and ended up with all Ping G25 equipment.

Irons G25 4-LW

Driver G25 10.5*

4 Wood G25 16.5*

Hybrid G25 20*

Titleist and Mizuno right now.  But I have played Taylormade, Ping, Cleveland and Adams.  My son has my Adams A4 set with R9 Driver and Ping Redwood putter.

I tend to be loyal to Mizuno, Cleveland and Bridgestone but Im open to trying new things and will put an oddball club in the bag if it performs.

Combined with my entire bag I carry: Taylormade, Ping, Cleveland, Callway, and Bridgestone gear.

Driver and 3W: Taylormade RBZ Stage 2

Hybrids and Irons (3H, 4H, 5-PW): Ping G25

Wedges (50, 55, 60): Cleveland 588 RTX Forged

Putter: Ping Scottsdale TR

Bag: Callaway

Ball: Bridgestone E5 or E6

I really like the G25 line, but could not bring myself to pay $350 for the driver and therefore went with a Taylormade driver and 3W to match. I also do not like Ping wedges, but am a huge fan of Cleveland's.

Next addition will be wedges all from the same maker, though.  I do find it slightly annoying that the Wilson and Nike wedges feel totally different.  Other than the wedges, I don't really mind the mis-matching.

I am right behind you, and tied when I swap in my Titleist driver. A lot of PING has crept in lately, though by default more than by design. My "vintage" bag is more consistent with all Wilson irons, wedge, and putter, and one or two different brands of persimmon.

Driver, Fairway woods and hybrids all one brand and model (nike VR ii liimited)

irons are a set (Mizuno MP53)

wedges are a different model, but same brand as my irons (Mizuno)

putter doesn't match any of it (Taylormade)

I bought one fairway wood of the Nike and it was very nice so I bought another.  And then just kept adding the same one at a time because I liked what I had.

I bought the irons as a set.  Like those, so I looked for Wedges from the same company since I didn't know any better at the time - I'm happy with that

The putter was a series of decision that ended with trying out a LOT of models - likely my most thoughtful purchase of the bunch.

I like my entire setup quite a bit.

But I could see ending up having  6 different brands for each different category of club if that worked out, (Driver, FW, hyb, irons, wedges,  putter)

And even a couple oddballs 'favorite' outlyer clubs even.

Those things are sweeter than you know what. A guy at the range let me hit his blades....hmmm hmmm, looks sleek and felt even better.

As for me, the avatar says it all. Only thing not Nike is the Ol' Scotty Circa 62, model 3.

I know people tend to knock Nike, but they've worked for me. I gave away my old Callaway.

My golf bag is a Sun Mountain SuperLight 3.5 stand bag, showing I'm a bit of a contrarian.

But, I prefer Callaway equipment - it fits my eye well at set-up, and the standard iron lie matches my stance. Right now I have Callaway irons and Driver. However, other brands can work their way in.

As of May, my 4H is an Adams V4, and my 4W and 7W are Tour Edge Exotics XRail (I played TE Bazooka 3W and 5W from 2002-08). My non-PW wedges are Cleveland CG14s, although I moved to a Callaway X.Forged (circa 2008) 56.15 as my SW.

Lately, I've noticed my Callaway PW and X.Forged SW give me solid ball impact about the third groove; I'm getting a lot of center-face impacts with the CG14s.

Putters are an exception: I have used Ping for a long time, either a 1970s era Ping Pal, or a recent B60.

Mizuno irons, probably won't ever change brands on that.

Ping driver (older G10), I like it but I'll shop around for a good fit when it comes time.

Taylormade 5 wood that always goes straight, not getting rid of that

Taylormade 3 rescue hybrid that I try to avoid, probably going to put the 3 iron back in the bag.

Cleveland wedges, I'll stick with those...just like 'em.

Odyssey two ball center post with a Fatso 5.0, unlikely that I'll change that, it just swings nicely.

Currently looking for a 3wood. So the empirical evidence shows that I am not brand loyal. Knowing what I know about what I paid for this stuff, I can tell you that I am cheap :)
