2014 Erie/Cleveland/Pittsburgh/Buffalo Summer Get-Together (August 16-17)

I don't know if I'd bother with the tripods. We'll record everything at the Golf Evolution building in high speed for your evolvr and/or My Swing threads, and the point of the one-club challenge is two-fold:

  1. Have fun and kill some time before dinner.
  2. Let everyone see the course.

Of course, recording some video here and there is fine, but just do it by hand. Why mess with a tripod? The slower we are the fewer holes we'll get to play (of course, the pace of the groups in front, if there are any, may matter too).

BTW, downtown could be a mess with We Love Erie Days. Y'all definitely want to bring your driver, putter, 6I, and some wedges, but if you don't want to carry your whole bag around downtown Erie, just those clubs should work.

Also, there's an entrance to the parking garage on both 10th and 11th streets.

I have a telescoping tripod that would actually take less time to hit record and set it down than to pass a camera from person to person. We'll see how it goes, but it really only takes a few seconds. I will likely be going along for the ride after a few holes anyway given the 3 ball limitation, and therefore becoming a dedicated camera man. ;-)

I'll bring mine as well. I got a new tripod. That little portable one broke on me. A new one was 30 bucks, the same price as a more stout tripod. So I bought one that would stand up longer.

I got two batteries for my camera, so should be able to get good amount of video time.

Somebody should figure out how to mount a gopro on a golf hat like the motrcyclists do on their helmets.  That would make for an interesting "POV VLOG." :-P

I was going to post some pictures from our one club scramble, but they're taking too long to embed from my phone, so I gave up. They'll have to wait until I get home. Whatever, I didn't want @14ledo81 to see us having fun, anyway :-P
