swing path outside-to-in, with driver

I do have this kind of swing path, sad to admit. It happened constantly last time I was put on the flightscope radar monitor. It happened with driver for certain...It was like three weeks ago though.

Should I take legit trackman lesson with instructor in future? I will remember to take a photo of results with my cellphone.

Is there any "home remedy" to get more in-to-out, or in-to-in swingpath?

Home remedy in this case equates to a drill that I can work with at range or home with a practicing mat and practice balls. I got a practice mat at home so this is good progress! I can do golf drills outside at the backyard now.

The drill should show to you with feedback, if you have out-to-in path or not. I heard that some people put obstacle like a clubcover, into a certain spot to see if they are hitting out-to-in?

Do you hit pull shots in relation to your target line or is the ball starting on the target line then curving to the right?

actually more common result seems regular slice, straight and slicing.

second most common is straight pull shots also... makes it hard to diagnoze eh?

Try putting a cardboard box just outside the ball and parallel to the target line. You could even angle it toward the right a little. If you come outside in, you would hit the box. Not really a fix, (I am not the guy to help with that) but could help.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you should take a look at your shoulder alignment at address, your shoulders may be to open to the target line.

Since my problem right now is 180 degrees opposite of that it's a shame we can't split our problems.

If I took half of your problem and you took half of mine we might both be better off.

I've always had an in to out swing and never sliced a ball accidently (but plenty of hooks) but lately it's gotten to the point of being ridiculous and I'm not doing a very good job of fixing it.

Right now to hit a slight draw I have to feel like I am hitting a fade and to hit a slight fade I have to feel like I am hitting the biggest slice in the world.

Yes stop moving your head around, has a direct effect on the path. I know I sound like a broken record but you keep looking for some "fix" for each problem when I've been recommending you focus on your priority piece.

I am assuming you are right handed. Try this mental picture to give your out to in swing some grief.  Get into your stance which we will assume is correct. In the mental picture think that  you are standing at home plate on a baseball diamond with your ball target line going over 2nd base. On your down swing think/visualize that you are swinging the club head/face towards right field. (If you are a lefty, then swing towards left field) You can't swing out to in while trying to swing towards right field. If you start pushing shots, you are doing some things right. If your club face at impact is correct, you might even start seeing a bit of a draw. This "right field" tip is not mine. It came from swing instruction by Manuel de la Torre. It helped me when nothing else was working.

Yea man get some alignment sticks from Home Depot for a coule bucks each and stick one in the ground vertically a few yards in front of you directly on your target. Guy I worked with did this and also put one flat on the ground pointing right if the one sticking up. Had be make slow motion swings trying to trace that inside out line and eventually start hitting half shots at slower speed trying to start the ball right of the rod in front of me and curve back left. WS hard as he'll to do but easier to practice and feel slowly and we eventually worked up to full speed.

A good drill is to hold the palm of your hands together and take an imaginary swing where you throw your hands at a target just after the impact position of the follow through of a swing.

Also, practice this drill with a basket ball or soccer ball.

The end result would be the feeling of throwing your ball/club during a practice swing at your target.

You could also practice this drill with a broom stick where you would actually toss the stick.

Then take these thoughts to the range for a practice session.

For keeping your head steady try swinging a club where you can see your shadow and watch your head next to something on the ground like a leaf or dry spot of grass.

I have the opposite problem occasionally.  I start swinging too far inside out.  I end up getting pushed shots if the club face is square and hooks when I flip to correct it.

I shot one over on Saturday.  I went to the range on Sunday to play and I was striping the ball.  I went to play and I was hooking and pushing everything.  I fixed it on the back 9 by swinging more in to in instead of in to out.  It's just been ingrained in my head for years not to come over the top... so when I swing properly it sometimes FEELS like I'm coming over the top because I'm not used to it.

It's a funny game.  It last for about 24 hours.  Sometimes 9 holes.  ;)

I've been able to trace most of my pushes and slices to my right arm drifting too far away from my torso during my backswing.  Every time I have a shot like you describe I try to remember to tuck my arm in better on my next shot and it's usually smoked straight down the middle.  I don't know if this will help you but for me it sure seems to work.

I've found that pushes and hooks come from swinging too much in to out.  Slices and pulls usually come from an over the top move.  It just depends how closed your club face is.

If I was hooking it AND slicing it in the same day... I would just shoot myself in the nuts.  ;)
