Need some help here! How long was the rain delay? I've got the PVR going but if it runs over I need to where they'll go? Back to the Golf Channel? Usually I just record the shows following the broadcast, that way if there's a playoff or rain delay I doesn't get cut off, but in this case there's a CFL game after the golf and I don't know if they'll preempt that, actually I'm sure they won"t as they have a contract with the CFL that needs to be respected.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Like I said yesterday, the only thing that can slow him down is the driver. Already missed the first two fairways. Good news for Rory is this course has no rough. Drew two great lies on 10 and 12.

That's one of the things I most dislike about the way they set these courses up. It's a Major Championship. These are the best players in the world. There out to be much more severe penalties for not being straight.

The more I practise, the luckier I hope to get.

Tiger's pic isn't showing up on the PGA app for his tee time (it is on yesterday's) and had me wondering if he WD but I saw no news on it.

It would be amazing if Steve Stricker wins the PGA after being named Ryder Cup co-captain. I don't think he could do it, but I am certainly rooting for him.

Geez, Bubba's caddie is kissing his rear end royally, cleaning the ball and club face immediately before Babba hits his tee shot. Bubba still complains "Wter on the club face. Water on the club face. No spin". as if is his caddie had messed up.

Stop complaining already, Bubba. This effects everyone, not just YOU.

That's his job.

Sorry, I don't think that every comment that he makes to his caddie is intended as a complaint about the caddie.

agree - seriously, he wasn't hacking on his caddie, he was just venting in general and the caddie was commiserating

OK. Maybe I misread the exchange. That caddie is doing a whole lot of commiserating today.

    • You should be able to install it yourself, honestly. You could easily blow it on and use some one-sided duct tape or something so it stays in place. That's what I've done with one of my grips.
    • Day 22 (12 July 26) - worked on putting tempo today using metronome for accurate tempo.
    • Hi all, My Edel putter seems to have developed a rattle.  I don't think it's a big deal, as I mostly hear it when I'm tapping down ball marks on greens.  However, I am debating getting it fixed, especially as I intend to play a lot of golf in August and September, and to continue playing regularly after that of course too.  My issue is I think fixing it would entail the fixer (golf shop repair station?) removing the grip and, presumably, applying a new one.  My problem is two-fold.   First, I like the grip on it, although after eleven years, maybe it's worth replacing.   The bigger (second) issue is getting the grip.  I don't like the flat-fronted putter grips anymore.  I have the round one on my putter, and I suppose I could buy one from Edel's website, but would a golf shop install a grip I bought elsewhere and brought in?  Or could they order one if Edel is not a supplier of theirs?  I don't recall ever seeing any Edel products in a Roger Dunn or PGA Superstore, although the era when I would go to a store and browse has long since ended (for better or worse).  I'd also wonder what the timetable is, as I'm leaving for a seven week trip in under three weeks. Any suggestions on what to do would be very welcome, whether about the rattle or the grip, together or independently.  Thank you!
    • I'm glad to know that picking up grass and letting it go doesn't help.  It felt like it shouldn't, but I'm glad to hear there's a good reason why.  It makes sense that wind is different higher up than it is near the surface. For a while, I was in the habit of checking the prevailing wind direction before playing.  That helped if I wasn't sure.  However, I still am not really sure whether something is a 5% wind or a 10% wind (and, of course, I know that a "helping" wind helps about half as much as the same wind hurting).   One of these days, I'll learn how to figure out what to do differently if the prevailing wind is 10mph vs 20 mph.
