Seems like it's only a matter of time before Europe wins. Basically Mahan needs to beat Rose if we have any shot of continuing.

Reed needs to win his match to have any prayer. A half and it's over.

US needed that full point to have the slightest of chances.

Game, set, match.

Edit: Or not....wow....did not see Stenson missing that.

Yes! Had a feeling Stenson was going to yank it...

Overall the US Team wasn't able to make shots under pressure and just didn't seem up for the challenge.

I give props to Patrick Reed, he came to play and could be the US version of Poulter.  His performance this year at the Ryder Cup has made me a fan.

If we could only have that Spieth match back. That was a killer. At the very least it would have taken it down to the last few matches. With Kaymer about to win, the US needs to run the table.

Donaldson looks like a winner over Keegan, so it is pretty much over.

Keegan needs to get his head back into it or you're right, it's over.  Still time for him to win, but it's not looking good.

Could you say team USA did not exploit Euro's weakness? Björn , Gallacher, Westwood, to me the weaker players. Watson, Bradley, disappointing.

Assuming Donaldson and Kaymer win, that's 14. The US would literally have to somehow win the other 6 outright just to tie. That, my friends, is what I'd call a miracle.

Watson wasn't the right captain for this team, once again Europe made the better captain selection.   Bubba should have saved us the cost of his plane ticket and just forfeited his matches.

Gallacher actually played pretty well today, it's just that Mickelson was really good. Feel sorry for the guy. And Rose will win this hole! Making it a halve.

I don't know about that. I think a Captain makes somewhat of a difference, but in the end, the players need to execute. We just don't have the talent Europe does. When the captains picks were made, nobody was stepping up and there wasn't much of a controversy. I think Watson made a mistake here and there, but I guarantee you if you or I or anyone out there were the Captain, we'd be second-guessed by a choice or two we'd make.

I'll say it again. I said before this Ryder Cup that I though the 1977 USA team was the best team ever assembled. I think this 2014 Europe team is right up there with them.
