Not a whole lot in writing yet since it's a breaking story, but Golf Channel is reporting that Robert Allenby was kidnapped from a bar, beaten up, and robbed after missing the cut at the Sony Open. He was dropped 6 miles from the bar. I never believed the whole kidnap story in Hawaii anyway, Allenby just regularly comes off as a real idiot.

Those marks on his face are far more in line with someone falling vs someone who was beat up.

That's what I concluded, too. People who get beat up generally have multiple injuries. Allenby looks like he got smacked my something that hit his nose and forehead while simultaneously getting scratched by it. Puffy/black eyes can be explained by the nose injury, but that scratch looks more like a concrete scrape than some kind of facial laceration from being punched.
