The "Paul is dead" stories have been around since before I was born, but this is apparently Ringo Starr saying it. Weird. I assumed the article was a complete fabrication, but as far as I know, Ringo hasn't refuted the article. Not a peep from any of the camps. Maybe they're all just ignoring it because it's such ridiculous tripe that it's not even worth the effort to debunk it. Or maybe shit just got weird.

Interesting. Maybe it's true, and probably only Ringo and "Paul" know for sure, now. Doesn't take a genius to figure out what Paul's camp would say about it. Maybe it's not true and Ringo is trolling everyone, assuming he actually made those claims. Maybe he didn't make those claims at all and the story is completely fabricated. Either way, it's interesting. It makes for a great story.

Maybe a Ringo impersonator/impostor gave the interview!

Maybe Ringo died and they kept replacing him with a series of shittier drummers.

You'd have a tough time finding one worse than Ringo.

Off topic but HUH?  Ringo was one of the best drummers of his time.  He was an innovator with regards to recording drums. He could keep perfect time.  He could sing and play.  This is not just me saying it, it is all my drummer friends and many big time drummers including Max Weinberg from the E street band.  I heard a radio interview once where the DJ tried to make the same point as you.  Max made him look silly.

Many of the things we take for granted in the way drums sound on records were done by Ringo first.

That's all very true, but it's still fun to make fun of Ringo. I mean, it's not like we can make fun of McCartney, dude's dead, it would be...insensitive.

    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
