I'm loving the tee times, watching Rory at work...when he gets done, Tiger comes out and I'll be at the pub. BOOM.

Hahaha, i feel bad for you guy, I really do. I've been enjoying the golf thus far.

Nothing like the weekend though. I assume you'll be able to watch the weekend?

#18 is a beast today.

http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/the-players-championship/course.html

4.662 average today (Par 4, of course)

41% of players have shot over par for the hole.

#17 is playing 3.268 average, so that's combined  0.93 over par average for the field for the final two holes.

I'm traveling down to The City tomorrow so likely won't catch any of it, Saturday I'm hoping to get some golf in and then Sunday, spending it with mom before I head back home.

Pretty full weekend.

So Phil's fitness commitment is moving in the right direction.  Good for him, clear results.

Just proves how treacherous that 17th can be no matter what your lead is on Sunday.....I watched him hit all of those shots while sitting next to the 17th island green.....

Ha - you just wanted to remind us that you're there.

yes, jealous.  your seat is much better than my cubicle on a rainy day

Tiger coming undone.

I didn't get to see the tee shot on 8...what happened? Slight chunk? He came up waaaaaaay short.

    • I just play my game almost all the time.  I think one of the difficult things to do is to maintain the normal game plan when you get behind, or when you get ahead even.  Its your game plan because it is expected to produce the best scores for you, why change it?  Yeah, there are times when you kind of HAVE to do something weird, but not as often as some players think.  And yeah, what are generally 2-stroke penalties become loss of hole in match play.
    • Argylle, par. Some decent action sequences (didn't like Bryce Dallas Howard in an action role at all), with some good plot twists. But it was good overall. I won't give away the stuff at the end. It ties into some similar things.
    • Yes. Only change from "playing the course" when your opponent is REALLY out of it. Don't assume that "oh, he's going to make double from there" or whatever. For the most part… just play golf.
    • I would suggest sticking to your strategy. There’s not much worse than thinking your opponent has stuffed one, going aggressively at the flag, messing up and then finding out they were actually still 15 feet away. Only thing I would suggest is if you’re umming and ahhing about whether to be conservative or aggressive and your opponent hits one OB then lean more towards conservative. That’s only marginal though. You still want to make good decisions for your score.    Congrats on qualifying!
