I can't believe there are not too many takers for Sir Charles.   I will pick him so that I wouldn't look so bad.  I can even match his jerky swing with my own.

I can believe it. I was once paired with a guy who had the same issue as Sir Charles, maybe worse. I had to look away every time he hit a shot. It's just painful to see in person, the golf equivalent of nails on a chalk board.

I know what you mean. I almost just don't want to watch at all for fear of catching something.

If I had to name my top athletes to play golf with.

1. Rory, golfers are athletes so there :-P
2. Peyton Manning

Matt Dougherty, P.E.

After some quick internet research, I'd also pick Susie Wolff.

What's an F-1? ... Kidding.

Along the same vein, I'd pick Paula Creamer, Kim Kauffman, Sandra Gal, NY Choi, Jessica Korda, or Michelle Wie.   Sorry, Sir Charles.

Make sure he doesn't use stick-um on his grips! :-)

I am not a celebrity seeker at all. I have met a few sports stars but I wouldn't really go out of my way to play with them. What I've found is most of them are just normal people off the playing field.

If I had to choose, I would pick a golfer like Lee Trevino because I think he would be very funny and tell great stories.

Doesn't he have a bad reputation though?   I thought he was a bit of hard a**.    I'd  rather play with an easy going guy that I can trade some jokes, and play hard golf at the same time.

Did anyone pick Bill Murray?   I wouldn't.   He'd be too distracting.  Trump?  He cheats and will be too annoying - non stop boasting will make me want to choke him.

Playing with Abdul Jabbar would be interesting.   I want to see how 7 footer will manage the clubs.

Bill Murray. He's an amateur golfer and supporter of "The Goat" , an old muni course in Oceanside CA.
