Hi Guys,

If there is anyone in Upstate NY (Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, Ithaca, Jamestown, you get the picture) or Northern PA (Erie, Mansfield, Scranton, the Valley, etc), that would like to do a TST outing/tournament/best ball/worst ball/shootout, whatever we should try to do something in the spring/summer... That's not the Newport Cup (sorry Erik)... 

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am over in the albany area.
If it is not more than an 1.5 hour drive I might consider it

Distance wise it is only hour and half.

Price wise it is alot further out!

Yeah I was just wondering how far west your circle your 1.5 hours went... It'll probably end up being more on the I-88 corridor...

I'd like it to be kind of centralized for everyone... Not like, oh, let's do it here because its less than an hour from me.

Heck, we could play whatever format, I just think it would be fun for The Sand Trap guys in the region to get together and have a good time... Hell, I'm not even opposed to doing it somewhere where I'd need to stay overnight.

I've been kind of looking around for deals that are kind of within a couple hours of everyone... One or two popped up in the central New York area, Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown literally right on the lake is a beautiful course that isn't super long... I'd do En-Joie if I knew when the DSG Open was... If anyone knows of a place that has a foursome deal, that's kind of Centralized for everyone, lemme know... (Don't say Robert Trent Jones at Cornell)

I had one more thought, this doesn't have to be a persay formal thing... But I'd like to try some sort of fun team competition that could be a shamble or a 4-man best ball, something a little more than just stroke play or match.... If you local guys have any ideas lemme know.

I probably wouldn't do a scramble - never liked them and it's not golf, IMO.

Scramble is not really Golf, I agree, That's why I suggested 4 man best ball or doubles or something.
