35 dead and counting from another series of attacks in Paris. ... It appears to be the usual suspects.

60 dead and counting.   As ISIS is getting pressured in Iraq/Syria, I feel these attacks could increase as some foreign fighters find their way to return to their countries.

Yes, there are also talks of 100 people being held hostage in a theatre, and that they are being killed 1 by 1. But not sure what is real and what is rumor. There were at least 3 assaults, one of them being at the friendly soccer/football match France-Germany, which is quite a big match in Europe and where the French prime minister Hollande was present. Again a lot of trouble in Paris after the Charlie Hebdo assault at the start of this year.

No word at all on suspects, so certainly no confirmation of "usual suspects". That is pure speculation.

The reports are of at least 35. Not 60.

As for people at the Bataclan being killed "one by one" - again no reports of this.

Hopefully the reality will not be close to 60.

If people are going to comment in this thread, they should limit themselves to facts when it comes to certain elements.

Speculation is one thing. Misreporting is another.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Many rumors are going around.

CNN is reporting that Paris Fire Department has confirmed at least 40 dead bodies.   Regardless, this is sad, very sad.

That is why I clearly mentioned that it is unsure whether it is true or a rumor and that it were "talks".

Our news media can't get the facts straight when the incident is in the United States, I have zero trust for anything they are reporting from France.

What's known seems to be some number of innocent people were killed in a coordinated attack from a yet to be confirmed terrorist organization.

Thought it would take a bigger event than this but if the French president says "we are going to fight a pitiless war", I think this might finally stiffen the leftists' resolve.  Time to fk em up.

He can start by allowing his citizens to defend themselves.  I'm not talking about the gun control law debates here in the US, we are in a world war and the targets of our enemy are civilians not soldiers.

Just the facts.  We each need to search our souls regarding how to combat future threats. This feels like 9/11 all over again to me.

This is the problem we've had these past 8 years, ISIS has been at war with us but our govt and media have been complicit in covering it up.  Choosing instead to distract us with such utter false minutiae like global warming and racism and any number of other insignificant non-issues.  It's time to wake up America.  There have been 80 ISIS arrests in the US over the past 12 months.  They are here and they want to kill us all.

CNN is saying the toll is at 153 and the shooters were shouting "Allah akbar."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/13/world/paris-shooting/

Five suspected attackers have been "neutralized," said Molins. It was unclear whether that term meant the terrorists were dead.

• A witness tells Radio France that attackers inside the Bataclan concert hall entered firing rifles and shouting "Allah akbar."

• At least 153 people were killed in the Paris and Saint-Denis shootings and bombings, French officials said. Saint-Denis is home to the national stadium where the soccer match was being played.

The worst carnage occurred at Bataclan, with at least 112 left dead. A journalist who was at a rock concert there escaped and told CNN: "We lied down on the floor not to get hurt. It was a huge panic. The terrorists shot at us for 10 to 15 minutes. It was a bloodbath." Julien Pearce didn't hear the attackers speak, but he said one friend who escaped heard them talk about Iraq and Syria. Later, he said the men were speaking French. Two men dressed in black started shooting and after wounded people fell to the floor, the gunmen shot them again, execution-style, he said.

Multiple attacks

According to French officials, at least:

  • 112 were killed at the Bataclan theater.
  • 14 were killed on Rue Bichat at the site of the Le Petit Cambodge restaurant, in the 10th district.
  • 19 died on Rue de Charonne in the 11th district, outside a bar called La Belle Equipe.
  • Four were killed on Avenue de la Republique, in the 10th district.
  • Four others died outside the Stade de France, in Saint-Denis, north of Paris.
