The Wall Street Journal got it right in its editorial on Monday, entitled "Who Lost the Saudis?" The WSJ quotes the Shiite former PM of Iraq, Nouri-al-Maliki saying the Saudi execution of the Shiite cleric Nemer al-Nemer "will topple the Saudi regine as the crime of executing the martyr al-Sadr did to Saddam Hussein". My comparison is 1979 when the Shah of Iran was thrown off the Peacock throne. The result? The Ayatollah Khoumeini! America- WATCH OUT!

I think most people have stopped reading your threads, or are reading them for a quick chuckle or morbid curiosity and then moving on. Like I am.

Moving on.

By the way, got my first Eagle today! Decent drive, approach shot just missed the green, chipped it on, and two putted. It was a par 3, but it's a really hard par 3 so me and my buddies play it as a par 7. How's that handicap doing PEZ?

You will find that most Americans don't even know who the hell you are talking about. I am pretty sure most Americans couldn't even point out where Iraq or Iran is on a map. Most Americans just want to be left alone to live their lives.

So, if you are shocked then that is you problem.

Iraq - all you have to do is remember 6th grade and find the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

Iran - the shockingly massive one. I always forget how big it is until I see it on a map.

He is more shocked that he is not getting the attention he wants.  His ego cannot handle that persons are not responding to a post HE created. I don't know how this guy holds down 23 jobs and has the time to post in the amounts that he does.

Agree. I can though. I love maps and geography. Sometimes when I bored, I will just play with Google Maps.

Me too.  Google Earth as well.  I navigate to someplace cool, then just give the mouse a little kick and float over the ground.  Since the 3D imagery has gotten better and better, it's almost like a flight sim, without having to locate any controls.

    • Day 77 - 2026-03-09 Hour of short game work at a mostly-new-to-me practice green. Trying to get some variability. Also some slow swings at the net later in the day focusing on backswing.
    • Now you may not agree with these but once you get the speed dialed, super fast, true rolling greens yield a lot more holed putts from 10-15 feet range = birdies. Also, the rough wasn't terribly penal. On a separate note, it seemed Berger tried to cash in on his lead. Didn't play bad or anything but you could tell dude had already blown his load the first two days. And then Akshay stepped up. I mean the dart for the eagle was ridiculous.  Fun watch in a long time.
    • Day 1 (9 Mar 26) - starting up again with a week layoff due to travels.  Played with the men’s group for the Monday shootout.  Was good to play, had some rust especially the long game, especially getting proper weight shift.
    • Day 204 3-9 Wrist arch through downswing and getting wider with backswing. Need to continue working on getting trail arm "reconnected" as it still seems a bit off with wider backswing.
