So much for the 3 point lead. Didn't take long for the Bear Trap to take a bite.

That seven by Scott probably got some of us fantasy points :-)

What did I do:ninja:.  He was on fire until I posted anything.

His caddy talked him into dropping closer to the hole in the drop zone, big mistake.

You know what happens when you apply a lot of water to something on fire, right?

That birdie Sergio made on 18 was awesome. I think tomorrow will be fun to watch. I wouldn't be surprised if the two par 3's in the bear trap decide the tournament.

What?  You don't like Pebble beach or Scottsdale, or Torrey Pines?  I've never played Pebble beach, but I have been there and the shots near the ocean cliffs would scare the hell...  Anyhow Adam Scotts quadruple bogie on 15 made me think about that.

Lol no, I was just referencing how people have different standards as to when they think the drain season starts. My official start is Pebble.

I thought the season started at the Frys.com open this year.

For me, the official start of this season is going to be the Olympics. :P

(Colin already explained to you, but it's been a bit of a running joke in these threads for awhile because people have been claiming every tournament since Hyundai as the "real" start of the season) :)

I don't care what y'all say, the "real" start of the season is when my local courses open.

If it comes down that Scott and Garcia are still leading in the final round I believe Scott will win it. Garcia has a reputation for trying to win in the past by taking too risky a shot which has cost him the win. I don't expect it to be any different here.

I would put my money on Scott as well. He did a great job recovering from his quad. If Sergio gets off to a hot start he can make it interesting. Who know maybe Rickie will pull his head out of his you know what and challenge the leaders.

Give Scott credit for coming back from his 7 with a couple of birdies on 17 and 18 to take back the lead.  IMHO he is going to focus even better today and will win the tournament.

It is amazing how many quality shots Sergio hits during a round but because of his inability to make the big putt when he needs it he simply does not win as many times as he should.

Alternately, you could view it as his ball striking puts him in position to do well far more often than a mediocre ball striker but great putter would be.

It seems like Sergio is just waiting for Adam to lose this tournament. He's not playing bad but he's not putting any pressure on Adam at all. If he's going to win it Adam will have to have a melt down in the bear trap.
