The fact that he can handle and pass so well besides the out-of-this-world shooting ability makes him a special player. Never saw anybody with his combination of the quick trigger and the accuracy. Too early yet but, if he keeps it up, he's one of the top 5 ever. Unstoppable.

I think we are a long long way from top 5 ever. Right now he is a beast but a case could be made that LBJ is just as good and he's much older. Who's your top 5 now?

LBJ is the most dominant two-way player in the league when he's giving max effort. Take his 2008-2014 stretch, which was probably the most dominant offensive/defensive stretch since Jordan, maybe ever. LBJ has one peer, and that is Jordan.

Curry is going to be a top ten player, and has the offensive game and intelligence to get there. But he's too small to play anywhere near the level of defense he'd need to be the best player of all time. He's already a good team defender, and an adequate on-ball defender, but he's already 28; he ain't gonna get much better than this.

Without a doubt, however, he's the best shooter of all time. Second place is Klay Thompson, who is still miles away from Curry.

I'd put Ray Allen number 2 but a debate could be made for Clay.

I also think there's an argument to be made that players like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, if you could take them in their primes and plop them into today's game, would be at least as good as Klay. The emphasis on 3-point shooting has exploded, even just in the last few years since those two retired.

Completely agree Ray also did it over a much much longer period of time than the splash brothers.

Totally fair. My big thing is that Klay Thompson has had a much higher workload in terms of three point shooting than Ray Allen or Reggie Miller every did

Update about Steph:
He'll be out for 2 weeks due to the sprained knee, he will miss the entire round 1 and probably the entire round 2 as well (if warriors past both rounds)

The other night was absolutely insane what Curry did in that OT, 17 points by himself to blow out Portland after 2 weeks off?!? Unbelievable.

Watching Steph make clutch 3s from mid court routinely must be like watching Spieth putt those 15-20 footers knowly there always a chance goes in no matter how tough the green is

I did make the caveat that Steph has to keep it up a lot longer to reach that pinnacle. My top 5 right now would be Jordan, Russell, Magic, Kobe and Bird. LeBron is close. He could convince me in the next couple of weeks.

Steph and the Warriors will have to contend with a fully loaded Cleveland team this time around compared to last year.

Looking at this chart. Lebron almost took the Warriors to a game 7 with a league average supporting talent.

It should be a great series. I am glad to see a rematch in this years NBA finals.

On an off-topic side note. How fricken stacked was that 96' Bull's team!

I remember the '96 Bulls, it was Jordan and Pippen as Batman and Robin. Rodman for D and rebounds, Kerr was a good PG and 3 point shooter. The center position was okay, Cartwright and Longley. I forget who came off the bench, Caffey? Every other night it was what would Jordan do next. I haven't kept up with the NBA as much but Curry is a stupid crazy good shooter I've never seen the likes of before.  Did not know he did the thing with the warmup routine shooting from almost the tunnel.

    • Swing check. Cons: The countertop drill hasn't taken yet. Not crazy about A5 to A6 hand path. Pros: Decent BS width at A2 and right elbow at A4. All in all, not terrible but meh..
    • Day 74 (14 Jul 25) - Late afternoon session w/9i, magnetic alignment stick, Divot board and hard foam balls.  Worked on getting the face square at setup and then returning to same through the swing.  The lines on the Divot Board served as referenced parallels for the alignment stick.  Did hit a few balls about 30 total - half with using the alighment stick on the club face and half without.  First time working with the magnetic alignment rod - really reveals when you have the face closed/open/etc.
    • I mean, that is what I figure would be the case.  My mind is just trying to wrap around the idea that 22" left = feet aiming like 15 yards left visually. It's like in a CADD system, if the flag is the base point when you scale an image, it stays in the same spot as you get closer (scale up) or get further away (scale down).  I can image how if you have a 10-yard chip, it could look much more like your feet are aimed nearly 22" left of the flag.  Now I want to try to make some measurements and quantify this 🤣.  Yes, they do. Yea, that is true.
    • Closer to like 22" than 36. Why wouldn't the target line (ball) be at the target (flag) with your feet parallel left of that? Perception messes with a lot of people. Almost all righties tend to aim to the right, because what feels parallel left — particularly given that your eyes are "between" the ball and your feet — feel like they're pointed MILES left even when they're square. Also, there's no rule that you have to be parallel left of the target line. I like to be slightly open at setup.
    • Depends on the lie, pin location, green.  I would say most of my pitches are with my 60-degree.  Its probably like 90% 60-degree, 10% 56 degree.
