Time to get your brag on.  What is the longest par 3 hole you have birdied (or aced if that was a long one)?

I felt pretty good yesterday rolling in a birdie putt on the 237 yard 16th hole.  Now the disclaimers - the hole plays a bit downhill and I had a breeze at my back.  Took a decently struck driver for me. Plus the putt was at least 35 feet so it was a fair tee shot and a great putt.

We have a 242y long par 4 on our course. I birdied that hole twice, but one of them was during winter, when we don't play back tees. The other one was from the back tees and it was a piss-in birdie (that is even more close then a tap in).

Longest birdie on a par 3 for me is 193. I did make par on one that was 254 which was pretty amazing.

210 on the card it can play shorter or longer. I've birdied it a few times but a bogey is a victory as far as I am concerned. I've made more doubles on that hole than any other. A like birdies but I make them often so not overly precious to me. Still waiting for an ace.

My longest (par-3) birdie was on a 200+ yard hole...I don't remember the exact distance, but it took a 4-wood and a 10-foot putt.

My ace was on a 168-yarder.

No idea on the exact yardage.  Probably 220ish.  I play VERY few sets of tees that include any par-3's over about 210, not even all that many over 200.

I do remember hitting driver on a hole measuring 210 dead into a strong wind, to about 8 feet.  Promptly missed the putt.

Birdied a couple at 220-230

But there's a hole at a little over 200 (The Jewel #11) that always plays into a headwind, over a pond, over some traps.  Plays longer than those others as far as I'm concerned.  I used my 2H which is really a 230-240 club on an extra windy day.  That was a good tee shot and birdie.

No aces yet, came super close on saturday (but only 105 yards) - within 4 inches.

    • My flop shots are 6-7° down (AoA). Does that answer it? 😄  The longer answer is… You have to be able to do both shots.
    • I hope you don't mind me raising this one from the dead. I got shortgamechef's video access thing for a few months in 2024. I watched his yip fix videos (the general gist is similar to the first video above, but with a lot more detail) and it made a lot of sense. I was working on it in my backyard off a mat for a while and my yippy thing was mostly gone. Aside from anything else, the flop shot using that technique is so easy and controllable. But I got onto a golf course for the first time of the year and found myself by the green on a downslope with the ball sitting down a little in the rough and I was, not to put too fine a point on it, f***ed. Shallow is all well and good from a good flat lie and I understand it, but you can't make that your be all and end all. I still don't know if it's a good idea to use steep all the time or just when you need to. I have a hard enough time with one technique, let alone too.  Just got a pitching skillest lesson with Erik and unless I misunderstood things some, he wants me a bit steeper. @iacas - where do you fall on the steep vs shallow argument and how do you vary it according to need?
